That’s actually pretty funny.

His arms are probably bigger than your legs. Might wanna keep that opinion contained to an anonymous message board so you can stay healthy.
I’m shaking in my socks.

Kilts are still dumb, as are random thinly veiled internet threats.

No one gets this angry. There’s more to this story.
There’s a difference between anger and pointing out something dumb. I’m not mad at the guy. I’d gladly have beers with him, as I would anyone else whose over 21 and associated w/ SU FB. But this “tradition” is dumb, and it in no way markets Syracuse in a way that’s conducive to getting top tier athletes to play here.

Don’t believe me. Look around the SEC, and let me know how they dress. They’re the guys winning, and they’re the guys who are getting the top recruits. Why unnecessarily deviate from a proven formula?

I’ll be the first to admit that it’s unlikely that this one random guy is costing us recruits due to his appearance *in and of itself,* but pretending like it’s not a potential paper cut is wrong, as is pretending like paper cuts don’t add up.

My singular goal for the program is to win. I’m pro anything that advances that cause, even if it sends a bunch of message board SJW’s into a tizzy, and I’m gainst anything that opposes it, again even if it means sending some paper skinned posters to their safe spaces. I don’t see kilts as being in the pro-win column. So why promote it?

I’m trying to say dudes look weird in skirts. That’s why very few guys wear skirts in public on a regular basis.

Put a few stitches down the middle and call them pants or shorts and feel masculine then. :p Do clothes make the man or the man make the clothes? Some women probably shouldn’t wear skirts either :)

No just embarrassing yourself and being labeled as ‘one of those’ on here and eventually in public.

Which is fine, if that’s your thing.
I’m embarrassing myself by not conforming to the group think of a board that is a week removed flipping out over an Alabama assistant coach smoking a cigar after beating Tennessee? I’m not too worried about my position in life lol

The tunnel vision on this board is incredible, as is its general lack of life experience.

I've actually thought that the anatomical differences between men and women suggest that society has it backwards, and it would make far more sense for the women to wear pants and the men to wear skirts.

For the lay person, this is because lady balls reside on the interior of a woman's body, and gentleman balls reside on the exterior of a man's body. As skirts lend themselves to aeration, and pants lend themselves to insulation, our societially defined fashions may be working against, well, everyone.

This is deep.

I agree with those that think this thread is great.

I wanted to wear a kilt for my wedding. If this dude feels strong about it, who cares. He could probably kick your arse.

If the guy was Indian, and wore traditional garb, or wore a turban, you wouldn’t say a word.

With what? That you’re spouting off H0T Takes and digging in for some reason? The only thing you’ve accomplished in this thread is looking silly.
Go back to your safe space.

And free advice. Unless you’re interviewing for an acting gig or a Renn Festival, don’t wear a kilt to the interview, and don’t say “H0T Takes.” You won’t get the job.

It’s game day sport...and a big one at that.

If you get ready by insulting people’s heritage and a motivational tactic by the Orange...so be it.

There’s a storm a brewing, you get ready your way...I’ll get ready mine...

Better idea: let’s get the assistant to stop looking like a clown on TV, and we can all dress in a way that isn’t embarrassing. That can be our tradition.
Duh

I’ll tell you what, if you, him, or anyone else wants to walk through south Chicago to my apt to kick my butt, I won’t even be mad. In fact, I’ll buy you a beer. Until then, the internet threats are lame.

I hope your wedding went well.

Not to be too pedantic, but a kilt is an article of clothing. It is neither smart nor dumb.
Wearing a kilt is a choice. I don't think any man wearing a kilt feels less of a man for doing so. So, why does it offend your sensibilities?
You're certainly entitled to your opinion as this is an open message board, and I have found other posts of yours entertaining and you are clearly an Orange fan. But I hope you appreciate that this seems to say more about you than Coach Chirco's choice.
Finally, the article is brief and clearly not a negative piece, so any press of a neutral or positive nature towards SU Football is a positive, IMO. I don't think you have to worry about our "Brand" becoming conflated with wearing kilts, do you?
By the way, I am well over 25 years old...so it isn't just young people who are taken aback by your statement.
Finally, and respectfully, I will cheer loudly with you in spirit this evening when the real battle is fought!

LOL - Insulting people’s heritage is a little dramatic, don’t you think? Am I also not allowed to say haggis is gross, and Guinness is overrated?

You’re making it sound like I’m burning Scottish flags while singing “Long Live the Queen” and decorating my toilet with pictures of William Wallace and broken Braveheart VHS tapes.

That is exactly the kind of stupidarse dramatics you’ve brought to the board.

Goodbye.

People are welcome to convince me I'm wrong.

But the evidence is going to need to be pretty compelling.

I've brought burning Scottish flags, singing "God Save the Queen," and decorating my toilet with pictures of William Wallace and smashed VHS tapes of Braveheart? Or I've brought a dislike of haggis and Guinness?
