A simple poll for the gang

7-6 + 3-9 + 3-7= 13-22 and SU FB is irrelevant.

What's funny is that is 3 years. We have been irrelevant for 15 damn near. He wasn't here the whole time. He is working to get us out. Our talent is not that great yet. We have PIECES. The pieces we have are young as well. They are trying to adjust to game speed and new playbooks. Where we are as a football program is been bad for awhile. I see a trend with better talent. I also think HCSS is learning how to be a HEAD coach. I think he is worth giving time. If 18 year olds with talent are buying into the message that the staff if offering and are willing to look at us then I think he deserves to get a couple of classes in.

Eh. We went 8-5, 5-7, 8-5, 7-5 between 2010-2013. We were doing well. Now we're back to GumpRob levels.

All the people who chose retain, please feel free to reconsider.

No idea how I missed this thread yesterday, but considering I now hate watch my team, I'm going to go with "fire."
this - word for word - describes me.

Shafer lost me last season with the 4th quarter punt from the opponent's 30 yard line. Everything he's done this season with regard to decision making has cemented my belief that he is in way over his head as a head coach.

Even if we somehow win this game my stance doesn't change.

Game after game the man makes insane coaching decisions.

The announcers have openly questioned three of his decisions today.

He's not a HC. I don't know what else people need to see.

Same here.

There were warning signs in year 1, but the Nova game all, but assured me that he wasn't going to be successful here. It's been a brutal 2 years. We are back to an embarrassing laughing stock.

The good news is I think we're even less relevant than that.

I think this thread/poll needs to be locked if you can't figure it out by now and especially after this great clinic against NC State.

This a million times especially after today!

No bowl this year. No bowl last year. Very close to no bowl in 2013.

1+1+1=3 right?

On this board, I feel like I still need to ask that sometimes.

Guess you skipped over the posts after this. Whatever dude.

I want to see where everyone stands on HCSS.

The poll is simple you only get to answer Stay or Go. No qualifiers like if he wins the next two games, or if he replaces members on the staff or if we get this particular coach. None of that. Just a simple answer.

Post Retain if you want HCSS to stay.

Post Fire if you want him to be replaced.
Fire them all ASAP.

I can't believe there are people on this board that would retain him or even think it's a difficult decision. I really don't care if he's a great guy, or was a good DC for us. He's an absolutely HORRIBLE head coach, who's in way, way over his head. If Coyne wants us to ever compete at this level, he better pull the trigger as soon as the last whistle sounds.

Fire. You can't retain a coach because you're worried about losing recruits that may not show up anyway. What good does it do to have good recruits when the coach has no clue how to manage a game?
