I'll be interested to see how he does in the upcoming weeks. I don't necessarily expect to win but I would like to keep them close ala the LSU game. In years past shafer has been blown out by ranked teams and overmatched opponents. This year every game has been very close, even the LSU game which they are a top ranked team. Obviously the goal is to win but that needs to be learned and takes time. These close competitive games give me hope that he is learning. I have less issues with what I see this year then in years past. Players are getting better and games are more competitive. Still work to be done and improvements need to be made to the staff imo but unlike last year, I have some hope that shafer can get it fixed.
