Abdul Adams Entering the Draft

I believe he did have a year. He played:
2016 Oklahoma
2017 Oklahoma
He sat out most of 2018 as a transfer but was eligible for the bowl game because he met the year in residency requirement after the semester ended and it would be fewer than 4 games.

2019 SU
2020 Sat out
2021 SU
2022 I think he gets a redo of the COVID year he sat out if he wants.

I think this is right.

He's also probably at or nearing 24 years old and likely just wants to get on with life, NFL or not.

Correct he is 24. Agree that as much as I loved college, when all your friends and classmates have moved on with life, it's hard not to want to do the same.

So if you don’t count the covid year he still played in 16, 17, 19, and 21. That’s 4 years. Still confused.

Too bad I was happy with him as the #2. Wish we saw more of him I know he missed a couple games with injury and of course nearly all the carries went to Sean.

An adult at ETSU was in his 8th year, (4 at Temple and 4 at ETSU)
Can’t keep track of all the various ways to get more years
Anyway best of luck the Adam’s and thanks for your time at Cuse

Yeah. I’m pretty sure there are no more limits on playing. People pretend there are but guys just keep going. I don’t think the NCAA cares. Just keep going.

Adams was great on the Oklahoma team until he was injured. He was a great kid and hard worker. His big mistake at SU was sitting during COVID, which gave our 6th string RB a chance to show off his wares. Unfortunately for Adams, Tucker did show his wares in the COVID season, and Tucker showed more than Adams. I was in Adams corner and wanted him to split carries, and to give Tucker some rest, throw a changeup to defenses, etc.

All the best to a kid who was a legit highly rated recruit and came to SU to wear Orange. Given the right team in the NFL, he can succeed.

There's a less than zero chance he gets drafted.

I think you're right. If 2020 were one of the 4 seasons he played, he could come back. But he played 4 seasons not counting the Covid year, so I think he's done, regardless.
