Kipers draft board today

This year Pitt surprised us with the pressure D/Man coverage that took us out of our rhythm.
It wasn’t a surprise to anyone. Our receivers and o-line just were outmatched.

I have been wondering about us having 2 guys on the top contested catches list. Do NFL coaches like or dislike that stat? Do they see it as completions or just missing the windows needed in NFL?

I’m also worried about the Pitt catastrophe. I know guys running the wrong routes caused 2 pick 6’s but he still threw 3 more to the other team.

I hope it doesn’t hurt his draft rank like the Stanford loss hurt our national rank.
He's put the ball in some pretty tight windows. He's also great at the back shoulder throw. I bet a lot of those would be considered contested catches.

Agreed. Tom is 6’5 though which does help a lot.

I think McCord is a Drew Brees type size and accuracy wise. Of course it’s all relative how much work he wants to put in now but he will be in the nfl for sure
6’ 4 3/8” if we are being picky.

Kyle is not all the accurate and it will hurt him. He looked accurate to us because his receivers made him look accurate. The majority of the time he throw into coverage and let his receivers go and get it. This works in college because not every defensive player is the best of the best. In the NFL these defensive players will be the best of the best and will make him pay for throwing into coverage. The nfl today is looking for QBs that can put the ball in a basket and cane throw the ball to places only the receivers can get it. I don't see that with kyle
This sounds like a Russian Bot. Don't fall for it.

Watch the effortless nature of Drake Maye vs McCord

That’s the diff btw third overall and 4th round imo
Fair enough. Kyle probably belongs in the middle rounds of the draft.

Kyle was only fooled by coverage once that I saw. (Gadsden vs Pitt). That, and his accuracy and reading a defenses is his strength.

His weakness is his overconfidence in his ability to throw in tight windows.

He had great success doing it mostly, and the good far outweighed the bad, but had 12 picks and at least 6 almost picks that would have been picked by NFL dbs.

Very few weren’t on their target. Just either a fraction late or just too tight a window. (Based on his arm being good but not elite)

IMO decision making In those situations would be the concern.

He was a different QB after Pitt with decision making. Only 1 bad vs Yukon comes to mind. He can do it.

He will get drafted and will make a team.
