ACC schedule

Bees can we expect schedule this week! ??
Bees, you may be right...but according to source, Clemson only other open dates are 9/21 and 11/2...and 'Cuse still does not have its last game...really mucking up the release of schedule

BTW I saw that Army has 12 games scheduled for 2013 but one of those games is @Hawaii so the Black Knights could schedule a 13th game if they wanted to do so. If I am Dr. Gross I call Army and offer them a home/home Army has 3 bye weeks in November from 9th to the 30th.

only thing is we wouldnt want an open date week 3 without even playing a home game yet that would suck. I guess tho if week 3 was a home ACC game it would work...

Gross does not schedule games. Herman Frazier does.

This

Try to move an ACC game to Sept 14th and there are three possible dates Army might accept...however one date really stands out to them (Nov 16th). We might have to work a 3 way swap...my guess is if we don't sign with WKU we'll get a 1AA.

cool, an 1AA game...will that even count toward win total for a bowl? I have to say this is embarrassing that 'Cuse does not have the 12th game yet...it not only demonstrates a poor ability to schedule but even more so a lack of motivation to have done this so many months in advance to do so. Secondly, the ACC is pretty disgusted with 'Cuse at the moment.

Disgusted? How so?

maybe doug should have taken herman frazier with him to buffalo to help with the preseason games:noidea:

'Cuse should have had its games lined up way prior to Feb 1st. Now the following teams still need games:
New Mexico State, UL Lafayette, and Western Kentucky still need to fill out their schedules
...'Cuse needs to bite the bullet and take one of these...and hopefully not loose. Additionally, Nova is holding Pitt hostage and stopping the FSU/Pitt game on Labor Day...all around, teams that do not act first get screwed last...and by the way, I hope 'Cuse has its OCC for '14 already because that is beginning to close up too. Apprarently, Frazier just isnt that good at getting OCC competition...be gone Frazier.

I'd be shocked if this wasn't finalized this week... Also don't wanna irritate any acc members until we play all them slobs

rumors say ul lafayette and new mexico st are playing

a 1AA game would count towards bowl eligibility as we don't have one scheduled yet and 1 1 AA team counts toward bowl

believe next yr we are in need of 2 games not 1 aa to schedule out of conference as we have notre dame and supposedly villanvoa on the schedule

Honestly, this game needs to be scheduled ASAP and is a joke that it still hasn't been scheduled. Just find a 1-AA school week 3 to come to the Dome and schedule it.

Am I the only one that doesn't understand this FSU-Pitt obsession on Labor Day? It's not like it was ever some rivalry, or ever will be. They'll play once every 6 years. And it's not like Pitt is supposed to be all that good. Looks like another 6 win team on paper.

It's the ACC throwing a bone to one of its new members. You see the ACC actually cares about its members and giving Pitt a primetime game against the ACC top dog would be showcasing Pitt to the entire nation, and give them a great first game and a good opportunity for recruiting.

Problem is a 1AA game is not going to enhance SOS...and that is what this is all about. FSU doesnt want to play teams with low SOS nor should anyone with NCS title hopes...'time for Cuse to step up to the goal line--sort of speak.

I am worried about our schedule and it's release, not FSU's strength of schedule.

Just a note, if FSU was worried about their own SOS next year, they wouldn't have scheduled Wofford, Nevada and Idaho. SO much for them caring about their SOS and it having anything to do with their national title aspirations. Ruins your whole argument.

Arb, Clemson is the ACC's only national title contender next year IMO, and because we need this 12th game to be a home game it is HIGHLY unlikely it will be anything more than I-AA unless we can swing a 3 way deal or get Army to pickup a 13th game. I would actually offer Army a 1-1-1 deal. Next year at the Dome, 2014 @Michie Stadium 2015/2016 at Yankee Stadium split the gate 50-50 its a good deal for Army and good deal for Syracuse I just wish we get the idea to Dr. Gross or whomever does schedules.
