So you're saying we can afford Dino's buyout now...We will have to wait for details but if memory serves, unless ESPN and Disney made big concessions (which seems unlikely as the agreement was not reached until this late date), the agreement should result in at least $5 million more per each ACC school.
I believe this will also push the ACCN past the B1G network in terms of subscribers. They might still earn a little more per subscription and still get more revenue for their channel. Given how popular B1G football is, that is probably likely.
But we should be even with the SECN now in terms of subscribers and way past the Pac12 network. I think the ACC moves up to third in terms of annual revenue (with the B1G and SEC way in front).
No, don't think the ACCN is even coming on board on Comcast until next month. So you're saying we can afford Dino's buyout now...
It takes two to tango. Comcast lost me as a subscriber over the ACCN (and their costs), and I'm definitely not alone.I found it rediculous that every other league has their games on cable for both football and basketball on CBSS and FS1 and I couldn’t get most of the SU games. ESPN and the ACC lost lots of eyeballs during this spat. I can pull the plug now on having two subscriptions just to watch the ACC network online. Still no actual date when it will appear on?
Any update for the FSU game?
Will this still be blacked out on ESPN+?
David Glenn estimates the ACCN deal with Comcast will net each ACC school another $6 million per year.
Not bad.
