I would die and go to heaven if they brought back the script letters for men's basketball. The women kept it with their uniforms which are a thousand times better than the men's. Script is Syracuse on brand

Why?

They only wore script for 11 years from 1983-1994. They're hardly "program defining".

Especially if you've been a fan since the 60's or 70's. 11 years is nothing.

Sure you're right but if you're 50 or under basically the script is Pearl, Sherm, DC, Rony, Owens, etc. That's classic cuse.

I'd think people would identify more with the Melo/GMac/Hak unis. You know, the ones where we actually won a title.

This isn't news to anyone who understands how branding works. You can design a series of uniforms/logos, but the one that the client wants is what they get even if it is the worst one.

It's probably not the worst one, if it's the most popular. It's just the one that old stick-in-the-muds like least.

That period was when we became a nationally known program and included many of our best/most iconic players, so it makes sense.
