I don't know why, but modern jersey shoulder stripes always end mid-shoulder. It looks stupid.
Totally agree.

Yes. Hate that look. Of all the awful things Nike and Dr Gross did to the football uniforms, that might have been the worst. Probably not, but it was right up there.Totally agree.

If you sole criteria is legibility, they were okay. Not great. Adequate.Other than the association with losing, why? Clean, traditional, legible, doesn't scream "Arena Football League"...I think there's a lot to like with the 2005 uniforms.

I hate the 'too cheap to finish the shoulder stripe' look. I hate the number on the side of the helmet. I hate the wrong color orange being used. I hate it all.
Orange looks a little dark? I think that's what Nike was giving the hoops program in those years, too.
The shoulder stripe trend is weird, the incomplete stripe is something I don't get. Full stripe would look cooler.
These look to me like a MAC or WAC team uniform. Some team I saw play once at 10 pm some Tuesday night on ESPN2.
The Syracuse uniform is known for a clean, simple look. Going all orange, going all white, adding ugly half stripes...these are all changes that weren't needed, that look like they were generated by a random uniform generator.
The numbers, while not as readable as SU uniforms of the past, are a lot easier to read than the ones that would follow these, no question about that.
But white shirts/white pants will never be Syracuse. Neither will orange shirts/orange pants for that matter.
Especially when the orange fades badly over the course of the season. That kind of stuff should never happen.
If I recall correctly, the the weird shoulder stripe was started by LSU back in the day and they have kept it.

It's because of the jersey construction. Different materials below shoulder level.I don't know why, but modern jersey shoulder stripes always end mid-shoulder. It looks stupid.

Well, we could, but NASA’s budget got cut halfway through research.I figured it was something like this. I mean, we put a man on the moon, but we can't extend a shoulder stripe an extra 3 inches.
Orange lids, white Jerseys orange pants.I see gray helmets with white tops and gray pants.
It starts at 7pm so you might be waiting a while...Where are the live updates from Turning Stone???
