Syverud isn't either. Billionaires supporting your program don't grow on trees.
Swallow your pride and work things out.
Or maybe his contributions weren’t exceeding the headaches he caused. JB made comments but everyone ignored them. As they say, talk is cheap.

Money always comes with strings attached.

And self-aggrandizing posing with big celebs only works if they're not on their phones paying scant attention to a bad home team loss.

Celebs showing up to watch a college team play in a roaring Dome only works if the college team is winning.
And some time the promised money never comes at all, but still has strings attached apparently

This take is a bit of bs.

There hasn't been time for Red and Co. to get a kid to the table for AW to close the deal. When did he announce he was going to contribute $1 million in NIL? Less than 12 months ago! We're working on kids who won't be on campus until fall of '24 and '25 right now.

Recruiting takes time.

Even with the big stick of a big NIL pledge like Weissman's.

We'll never know how much help it could have been. My guess is we lost a lot with the chancellor's decision to run AW off.

Hold on do people actually believe this is real? Looks completely doctored and made up.

That would be much funnier. If Portnoy really did an interview, it would either be aired, or some bootleg would come out you'd think.

Feel bad for Red. Gets the shot he deserves, lands a couple of stars immediately, but he has to have this circus of adult children swirling around his program.

He made a deal, through the Owl Collective no less, for an FAU player in under a week. The bs is that he didn't have time here considering how long he's been hanging around the program.
