Alabama deseperate for 2015 game

Meh no we didn't ... if we got blasted at all then I would agree ... we should have won all those games ...

The defense was a shell by the end the 2nd half of the WVU game, that and a bunch of drops in the endzone cost the WVU game.

NCSt was on Rogers and McNabb (3Ints). Wanted to feature Donavan in a Heismen push on Thursday night instead of pounding the ball with Konrad, who was unstoppable on the first drive, and shortening the game. Gave NCSt and Tory Holt a bunch of extra opportunities with TO's.

Schedule should have been UT and Michigan. ACC OOC on the road Thursday night, set up trap game, never should have happened.

35-28? That happened, I remember being upset. ;)

And the point is, when you load up with a ton of top 25-caliber teams on your schedule you walk a ridiculous tightrope. Especially for a program that never, ever has the depth of an SEC power.

Depth is the key, under P 1-30 could compete with anyone, but injuries had major impact once you got through a handful of second unit guys.

That's one thing I like about how Marrone went about restructuring the roster. The top end talent isn't there yet, but there is a much greater consistent level of talent on the team. The end of the roster is better. Now need to go out and land some impact players.

Wasn't that the game where DMac was hung over and puked a couple times during the game and Will Allen was coming off injury and probably shouldn't have played and got burned a couple times?

1998 was at NCSt on a Thursday night

They played NCSt at home in 1997 in a nooner in a season that opened Wisconsin at Giants, NCST at home, OU on the road , VT on the road. By the time they got to VT McNabb had both arms in slings with shoulder separations and 0 out of 3 FB's were able to play.

Which is fine but my point stands we didn't over schedule ... we weren't over our heads ... should have run the table IMHO.

LSU Alabama FSU Clemson and a road game at Louisville in year 2 of Petrino? Are you kidding me? No way no how don't even think about it. I would like to go to a bowl in 2015, thank you. That is a very likely 5 losses, 4 for sure. This thread needs to be blown up, this is nuts

And if instead we had beat Colgate and Ball State instead of playing Tenn and NC St we would NOT have been playing for a title. So why play Colgate and Ball St? Some people are afraid to strive to actually compete and maybe excel. They'd rather it just look like they are excelling.

At this point I would rather it look like we are excelling until we are actually in a position to compete with that type of opponent. When we are ready to take them on, I am all for it. Currently we are not ready but give it a few years and I truly believe that we will be with this staff and the talent they are bringing in.

This needs to get done if, and only if, Alabama will come to the Dome in the future and there's a very, very, large buyout. You do not pass up the opportunity to get them above the Mason-Dixon line.

Would be incredibly dumb but incredibly funny.

We'd be like Ole Miss, but without the tailgating.

Can you imagine LSU, Alabama, Florida State all in the Dome in the same season? Divorce rate would probably go up. In my neighborhood anyway. Might as well make the return trips the same season as well, since I'll have the free time.

id certainly take the kids on weekly trips to the intersection of routes 80 & 81 to watch and wave as all the RV's, trucks with gunracks and general lee-esque cars...with all their dueling confederate and school flag glory go by.

then head back to the house and watch 55-0 each week.

joker, joker AND A TRIPLE!!!

Oh Lord

I don't recommend subjecting your kids to that prevailing wind smell of moonshine. At least I would recommend it for my own, until they were about 12.
