Griffin in the trust this team has in one another: "It starts in the locker room. We have a close bond that we're building everyday. We share the ball in practice, too. It's not just in the game. We're just connecting."
Griffin on #Syracuse's 3-point shooting early in the year: "It'll just continue to get better. We put up a lot of shots in practice."
Griffin on his relationship with his dad and the rest of his family (brother at Duke, sister at UConn): "My dad tries to keep up, he's got his own schedule to worry about. But we talk a lot on the phone and give me some feedback about what he saw."
Griffin on Woody Newton's and Kadary Richmond's skillset early on: "Everyone's finding their roles on what to do and how they can impact the game. We've all got different roles. Everyone's trying to get more of a feel."
Griffin on what it means to wear a #Syracuse uniform: "I wasn't heavily recruited in high school. They reached out toward the end of my senior year but it was too late. But it means a lot to put on a 'Cuse jersey, from when 'Melo was here. I looked up to them because of 'Melo."
Griffin on being more patient on the offensive end: "That was pretty well said. I don't want to rush anything."
Griffin on the amount of charge calls this year in college hoops: "There have been a lot of those charge calls, but it's something you've got to look past."
