yep this is cool stuff for us fball geeks as to how the team can improve its (lately) historically awful passing game. Youre right in that assessment. Like we we're talking with the OLB and the TE with a "chuck" needed on the TE from an OLB, and as Tucker could have done in the RB on the blitzing LB too with a chuck, Dakota should have done exactly what servais does with his guy. Servais chucked his guy and then came back to stay in his lane and dbl team Dakotas guy.Now I'm just sort of fascinated, like I'm doing film review that the coaches are going through. I'm not arguing, just learning.
Looks like from here, Servais seems overcommitted to that side and by the time he turns back, #8 would have been right up Shrader's face had Dakota gone right for the blitzer. By the time Servais did turn around and help on #8, he might not have been able to do much but push him toward Shrader.
I'm surprised (pleasantly) that Shrader went for that pass and not the dump off to Tucker. That would have gained yardage, but the sharks would have circled quickly.

Dakota should have done as Servais did, "chuck" his guy for a second or two to slow him up and provide servais time to get there (which essentially happened), where he errored is not doing what Servais did, IOW, chuck his guy then "stay home" in your lane or in this case get right back to your lane asap to pick up the blitzing LB. And yes it would have been nice for Tucker to at least get a piece of the LB.
This last part I'm not 100% sure of what Tuckers responsibility was as to if he was told to do that or not.
