where is alton robinson?
I'm very happy for Guthrie and Robinson but can't believe that ED wasn't at least 2nd team.Congrats to the players that were named.
I think the voters really blew it not naming Dungey to the first team. Getting named third team all conference is an embarrassment. No way Finley, who is a good, not great college QB, belongs there in front of him.
Fredrick didn't even get HM? Sigh.
It is good to see a little more respect for Syracuse players this season.
Finley should not have been first team but Lawrence absolutely should have been at least second. What a joke! Dungey had 10 more touchdowns than Finley and 9 more than Trevor Lawrence. He had less than 100 fewer total yards than Finley and more total yards than Lawrence by 700-800. It truly shows the bias of the ACC sports media to have Dungey as the third team quarterback while he was leading the team they all picked to finish last and having better total stats. At the end of the day the goal is to score touchdowns and Dungey did that incredibly well.
Congrats to Lawrence and Finley for having better completion percentages and QB ratings, neither of them are remotely the threat Dungey is on the ground and Dungey's passing stats are not far enough off for them to really hinder him. Utterly ridiculous...
He had two First Team WRs...I was originally going to argue for Dungey over Finley, then I looked at the stats. While Dungey does more with his feet, there is no denying that Finley is a much more accomplished passer.
Not ClemsonDungey would be the starter on any ACC team,

I get Dungey for second team, I dont see first team though. Finley is a better QB. Also, Devito arguably beat FSU and NC. Dungey, of course, was great against NC State and BC, and more than held his own against Clemson. I didnt see Pitt, but the stats arent pretty.
I think you are underrating the vast difference in running ability between these players.I was originally going to argue for Dungey over Finley, then I looked at the stats. While Dungey does more with his feet, there is no denying that Finley is a much more accomplished passer.

Finley had 35 carries for 34 yards this year. 1 touchdown rushing. Dungey had 732 yards rushing. 15 rushing touchdowns.
Finley was 275 - 408 for 3380 yards and 21 TDs. He had 8 interceptions.
Dungey was 205 - 341 for 2565 yards and 17 TDs. He had 7 interceptions.
But NC State's OL was better. Finley had 8 sacks on the season. Dungey, a far stronger and more agile and athletic player, had 20.
As others have pointed out, NC State had an extraordinarily veteran group of talented WRs to throw to. Much better than the rag tag group of mostly frosh WRs Eric was throwing to.
So Eric was responsible for 3297 yards of offense and 32 TDs. Ryan was responsible for 3414 yards of offense and 22 TDs.
Ryan has only played 11 games but Eric barely played against ND, one of the best defenses in college football, so the field is level there.
I will take the guy who did more with less. I will take the guy who produced 10 more TDs. I don't see how anyone can look at the numbers and think otherwise.
Ryan Finley
Eric Dungey
