In the shock of the bitter loss to Pitt I don't think we have given enough attention to the play of Alvin Cornelius. He has shown an ability to get open and he is a good blocker - most importantly he can catch the ball!

Since we have him for another three years, his emergence is big.

Big time play Alvin!

He was a Bright spot. Great catch on he he TD. Looking forward to seeing more plays like that one.

He was a guy I was excited about coming in to the season. Glad to see he's showing his talent.

I sat next to Alvin's dad and uncle at the University of Maryland game. We had a blast. Nice people. We were saying how SU needs to stay after recruiting in the NYC area.

We need more of these types of kids at SU. Again, we are New York's College Team.

Great meeting Alvin's family.

I really couldn't understand why it took the staff so long to see he does create separation from defenders. Considering the performances of players ahead of him on the depth charts.

Hs Koebena gottin slower since he arrived. He was one of the top sprinters in the state in high school and it looks like he gets no separation from defenders

He broke press coverage every time I watched him, but only got a few balls his way. It was really impressive... haven't seen an SU receiver do that since Mike Williams.

Hoping this was a breakout party for him moving forward.

his touch down catch was nothing short of spectacular ....he will be a player going forward.

As the TD unfolded, I didn't think there was any way he would catch up to the ball. It was a great catch. I was also impressed with his overall play. The kid deserves to start and play a lot this Saturday. He may have caught the pass Eskridge dropped.

I loved that diving catch...fantastic and the throw...only AC was going to get it.

I've thought of him as being somewhat slow and he really displayed some nice straight line speed on that catch. I mean he stuttered stepped on the fake and then blew by the DB. But then when he saw that ball was going to be to far he went to another gear to give himself a diving chance to make that catch, otherwise the balls' incomplete. He ran it down. He's faster than I thought. Hopefully he'll continue on an upward trajectory. I was really excited to see him get involved and make a play.

It reminded my of when Van Chew made that catch in the corner of the endzone his freshman year. I think Van and Alvin wind up having similar impact at SU

Cornelius made plays whenever I have seen him at practice including fan fest . Not surprised he made a big play when given the opportunity. Hopefully it's the first of many

makes me wonder what the hell took so long for him to get involved and serious reps. I've always heard his hands were glue, so what if he wasn't 'technically sound.' None of these freshman coming in will be either.

Safeties will have to start paying attention to him. Too bad we only have one game left , or 2 I should say!!

The coaches were raving about his ability to block. Seems like a keeper to me.

he looks like a wr lean tall fluid check the eyes out on the catch and he has game speed. We may have actually found a true WR

How's that possible, recruiting NYC players is stupid, don't you know that?
