Exactly, but maybe its why JB was taking about the APR after the Georgetown game in DC. He talked about how stupid the APR was after that game and I think he knows something is coming down the pipe. These violations will only take scholarships away and if we lose 3-5 basketball scholarships it won't kill the program and probation won't do anything. As long as we avoid a postseason ban these penalties just kill depth for a couple of years.
And depth never mattered to JB .

Well, if this is all true, it's not as bad as I thought.

Funny that the Sub had the article nearly ready to fly when someone else broke the story.

Reads like the obituaries that they pre-prepare for public figures: get the bulk of the story together, then plug in some last-minute specifics.

read his article, not just those 2nd hand tweets . . . it is probably as bad or worse than you thought

I did, the article was scary. But he wasn't very specific at all and just seems to be rehashing stuff that we already know. LIke he said, "just throwing stuff and some sticks"

With all the mess the NCAA has been I am beginning to wonder whether smoke and mirrors and uncooperative under the disguise of being cooperative is the way to go. The only way UK is clean is that they have everything covered up to a T. Same with the whole UNC ordeal and Julius Peppers. We have heard strong words before surrounding UNC and UConn.. but the outcome was not as significant as the media hyperbole leading up to it...

that sexual assault case is the keystone

But if an Onondaga county grants jury dismissed the case, how can NCAA step in an claim negligence, makes no sense to me

If part of this really is about the rape case I look forward to the NCAA starting their investigations at ND next.

I don't get how that is part of this considering I thought that went through all the the necessary university procedures until it was determined to be nothing.

because a lot of people - both at the time and to this day - say that procedure was not, in fact, followed.

Precedence was set by the PSU case. There you had a much more egregious criminal case of course, but the NCAA still stepped in and took action.
If we did something "wrong" in handling the rape charges, then regardless of criminal proceedings and outcome, the NCAA will likely step in for their pound of flesh.

Yeahh.. I know.. ( Digs head out of sand for a moment) If I recall however wasn't that case dead and then brought back up again by the girl's professor? So that it had to go through " supposedly" procedure twice?

Maybe the NCAA hired Fab as their star witness but they can't figure out what he's saying.

If the athletic dept reached a settlement with the alleged victim not to testify ... the NCAA could construe that as a player receiving an improper benefit.

uggh.. now the details are coming back to me.. I remember more as we dig back into this.. what a horrible horrible damper to starting my vacation tomorrow to enjoy some hoops and ignore work..

Or of the university handled this case differently than they would for an ordinary student ... the NCAA could come down. As long as the Three Stooges didn't get any breaks ... there's nothing to this.

They just can't seem to get their schedules to align.. they are trying to figure out who chuck is and why Fab's calendar is full of meetings with him...

and why there was a fight with Senor Door who never matriculated at Syracuse.

Syracuse.com updated there story, NCAA NOT investigating 07 incident.

Right it looks like it is about Fab and academics from everything that has been said on the radio.

So they just assumed? Got bad info? Did they just throw it in for good measure?
You have a link where they say not investingating 2007? I can't find where it says that. Thanks in advance.
