I thought this year he looked like he had a tired leg.

I am very happy we have him back.

I watched the kid when he was moving around before kicks, even on the field, his body language said a lot. His shoulders were down, his head was down. He was just going through motions. I know we don’t want kickers to be too up or too down, but I sincerely hope the kid can tap into the fire he had. He did not look like he was having fun.

Against this year's schedule, this was a 7 win team and NOT a 5 win team.
Look at the attendance numbers...actual fannies in the seats. People saw this underperforming trainwreck and walked away. Now in this case Szymt is coming back. I'm all for it IF he can kick as he did as a freshman and sophomore. Lately, pretty much every team we played had a better placekicker than the Orange. And there are fans in here that want to rinse and repeat evidently.
New OC coming...step in the right direction.
Special Teams (maybe TE coach in one) coach...seems to have a good track record.
We have other assistant coaches coming. THEY BETTER BE DAAAAAYUM GOOD.
This program needs help in so many areas...with so little time.

this and I anticipate he’ll be back feeling like he has something to prove. I’ve always thought (without facts so strictly opinion) that the successful freshman year may have got to his head a little and affected his training/play

And most likely because Dino hired a dedicated Special Teams Coach with NFL experience. I can imagine Szmyt felt like an outsider when GA's are the ones coaching him.
