Andrew Robinson

I still hold the belief that if he wasn’t marched out to take the beating(s) of a lifetime as a freshmen that he possessed a lot of the skills necessary to succeed.

Clearly, he has many strong qualities. Awesome to see.

When he moved from QB1 to backup TE you knew he had some serious staying power. It's nice to see him back on the Hill.

Time to break out the old “crow hop” drop back footwork again;)

But seriously, what was that?!

I tried to block out those years but Wasn’t he the qb that broke ribs while visiting another school or something. Maybe falling out of a bed

I think AJ Long, the little guy with the big Syracuse tattoo on his arm, got DQed from football after falling out of his bed.

If I remember right, he had suffered a number of concessions and got another one with that fall. It was enough to end his football career at Syracuse.

Could be wrong. Those were painful times and my mind has blocked out a lot of what happened to prevent me from doing bad things.

I don't dare google it to find out for sure.

Yeah it was AJ

This thread got me thinking about Jim McKenzie, who was the center on those teams. Very smart young man. Think he majored in biochemistry and at one point late in his college career had a 3.9 gpa.

Believe his goal was to become a doctor. Goggled him to see if he made it.

He did.

Good for him.

His game against Louisville was unbelievable. No one saw that coming. Then he had to go sleep on his friends floor was the story at the time … I remember him getting hit a lot

Hold up, are you telling me we had a ginger quarterback with a ginger center, and I didn’t even know it? I’ll be a monkey’s uncle.
