Not sure I’m buying UCLA at 1. Had a good run but lost key pieces.

Not a big surprise. With all the departures, a lot of teams have questions that can only be answered when play begins.

The uncertainty might be greater than in any other off-season.

Many of these "way-too-early Top 25" lists are just falling back on reputation--brand if you will. I saw one that picked Duke at the top of the ACC where the writer assumed 2 of their incoming frosh would be first team all-league.

I think they return all of their key players, plus added a stud freshman and a grad transfer from Rutgers. Think they are legit.
