Angeli has arrived

I think LSU fans are kind of fighting the same issues with Kelly right now. He better at least get them in the playoff very soon or they will be moving on. Juice has to be worth the squeeze with him because he is not a very likeable person to say the least. In addition, down there he is such a fish out of water it's absurd, they knew this would be an issue but figured big winning would cure all but most LSU people are getting tired of him and quite frankly do not like him. They really need to find the right guy down there
ND fans tried to warn them, lol. They blew all the cautionary tales off as sour grapes.

His buyout at LSU is enormous.

When is the last time we had a QB room with two transfer P4 QBs? You aren't allow to say last year, the year before that, the year before that or the year before that. Imagine what they would say if we had two SEC QBs on the roster at one time.

Just a couple of season ago, we had 2: Shrader - Mississippi St
and Braden Davis - South Carolina

Loved what I saw of Angeli in the CFP. But no one that is not on the coaching staff can have any idea which if these kids wins the job. Whichever does win it will have to have proven something in practice to beat out the other one. I think the trepidation some have about Collins is he sounds a little like Del Rio-Wilson. Different QB, different guy that has his own opportunity. I don't have a favorite and can see both QB's seeing some time but not a full 2 QB system.

I feel like you have said this several times before. Angeli has two more years of eligibility. If he wins the job, are you thinking he moves on to the NFL or possibly to another team in 2026? Both things seem unlikely to me. A QB leaving for the NFL after one season of starting experience in college that still has another year of eligibility seems improbable.

Can’t assume that any player on the roster is here the following year. Not sure how it seems unlikely he could transfer. If he has a good season schools will be gunnin’ for him. Does that mean he’ll leave, no. But it’s also not improbable by any stretch in today’s CFB.

One major advantage Freeman has over Kelly is he never killed a kid.

ND fans don’t care about that. Well….. maybe they do now that Kelly isn’t the coach but they didn’t care at all when he was their coach.

Calling it now, I think he’s going to be the starter against Tennessee. Cuse football twitter with its own dedicated post highlighting his arrival. The chip he will have on his shoulder after putting so much work into the Notre Dame program, doing it the right way. Always looked good on the field when his name was called, but was never enough to be the full time starter there. Potential legendary story brewing here.
I can't predict anything

All we can ask for is a QB stable that goes 2 or 3 deep with P4 worthy talent.

Good Luck to all the QBs and Coach Fran and Jeff picking the best candidate.

Probable means its likely to happen. Improbable means it is unlikely to happen. If he does well at SU in 2025 i think it is improbable he leaves SU and the staff to go to another school for his senior season. Especially when we think we think the team is more set up for a run in the 2026 season than the 2025 season, schedule and all. Sure its possible he leaves, but not probable. I stand by my wording.

Both players are going to fight it out. Either could win. I know which one I think has the better shot but we will see. Just really need one to pan out well. I love that both have multiple years of eligibility ahead of them.

Not a chance. Heard he isn’t grasping the playbook.
And he was anointed the starter coming out of spring - if true sounds like we could have been in trouble before Angeli.

It's pretty much a non factor either way. Tennessee will be ready regardless of who we have at QB. Rumor has it they play in decent league and have some experience game planning and making in game adjustments even if the unlikely event they are caught off guard.
Those are internet trolls spewing garbage.

His first speech at the hoops game when he talked about his "faaaamiluh" moving to the bayou is still one of my favorite things ever.
