Any chance Kadary leaves?

He left a top 25 team where he was the 6th man and got 20mpg and went to a team he knew wouldn’t be ranked as high as the one he left. He was sold on the Eli role which got Eli drafted. I think he was hopeful he would be here 1 year
He was what 92nd rated in one ranking 87th in another. Kadary is a terrific talent but I really don't think one and done was ever a discussion in his camp or family.

No chance this year.

He'll leave before Buddy and Joe however.

He needs another year at this level for his own good without question. But after next season the case for leaving will be as strong as one for coming back.

So... suppose we get the double draft.

Does the NBA create a temporary third round?

He’s talking about Griffin

I was talking about AG

The double draft is called that because it combines two HS classes the 2021 NCAA freshman and 2022 HS seniors.

The draft won’t be expanded.
It’s 2022 because the NBA was giving teams 3 years to know not to trade first round picks in a draft with deeper talent.

No, I know what the double draft is.

It would seem that it would be in the NBA's interests to provide an avenue for teams to lock in rights on players vs have a big explosion of free agent talent.

MCW was behind a Senior Jardine and Sophomore we knew was leaving in Waiters.
Him sitting one year behind that isn’t a lot to ask for him. Especially with the team winning and being elite.

I don’t believe Kadary is going to start next year.
JB would do it now. Heck Richmond is only averaging 18 MPG with Buddy back.
Where are the minutes coming from. If Buddy plays better next year why would he play less.
My comment had nothing to do with minutes, although I understand a guy needs playing time to show scouts what they can do. I was simply comparing athleticism and skill set.

It all depends on what transpires by summer. If he feels he isn't getting enough time, could he simply go to the G league (if it opens back up) and make some money and improve his outside shot? If he starts getting proper time and the squad looks good for next year he could come back. Or if covid gets in check he could choose to go overseas instead of catching splinters. But I imagine he can't be excited for next year if things don't change here. At this point, the transfer rule not being changed is a godsend. Because he would be like Sowers in lacrosse , the big boys would be calling.

I hate to disappoint people, but there isn’t one NBA player on this roster. If we have three NBA players on this roster we wouldn’t struggle the way we do. Players in the NBA are elite athletes and highly skilled. Griffin, Kadary, and Guerrier are not elite in one single area. Kadary and Griffin could be good defensive players, but they have major deficiencies in their offensive games. There’s nothing wrong being really good college players. I look at several lottery picks in the past five years who are getting very little playing tone. The Knicks have four top ten players who are not playing. This is just the Knicks. I’m sure this is the case everywhere in the NBA.

This board since 2003 has kicked the dirt on every player who has left early and guess what? They still left and made money. I'm not arguing with your logic but just wait and see.

If you don’t think Kadary Richmond can be an NBA draft pick I can’t change your mind.
The guy will be on draft boards if he continues to develop.

He doesn’t get a chance to play a lot here. For unknown reasons but he has size, handle, and length.

His shooting is not as bad as the perception. That is bullchit used to justify what we are doing now.

As we know, there is a difference between playing/making it in the NBA and leaving early for the draft. Relative to the impact on SU, it doesn't matter if they play in the NBA as much as it matters that they are surrendering their eligibility to try to make it. And they all believe they will make it.

I didn't think that Q had NBA potential prior to this season. He is going to have to play and guard the 3, but i think he will interest some teams enough to get drafted. Whether he makes it or not is a different debate.

I am going to continue to argue that Kadary's ability to beat his man off the dribble AND finish at the rim with either hand IS elite and will translate to the NBA game. He is nowhere near ready yet, but there is no denying, in my mind, his skill set.

Kadary/JG3/Buddy/Benny/Transfer

Woody/Anselem/Transfer Guard off the bench

I do like the potential of that team a lot, especially if Joe/Buddy shoot well.

AG to me is the wild card.
Unless the transfer is Dennis Rodman, that team's not going to rebound at all. Buddy's rebounds per game is among the lowest by starting guard in the JB era. The other forward would be a freshman. The other team would play volleyball until they scored.

Jim needs to start and play kids based on who is the best, playing well and match ups. In my opinion Joe needs to come off the bench as a spark as he can replace either Kadary or Buddy.
I don't care if he starts - as long as he plays starter mins - Manu didnt start but played the last 8 mins of every important game

I'm guessing JB is holding Kadary by telling him he'll start next year.

Again, no inside info, but there is no way Kadary and his camp would be ok with sitting behind JGIII and Buddy again after what's transpired this year.

If it were even a possibility of JB keeping the same guard rotation for next year, I'd tell him to leave and I most assuredly wouldn't be the only one.
Kadary and his camp? what about the fans? they may storm the dome like it was Capital Hill

walk into the coaches office and say "either i start next game or i sit. ankle hurts . your call ."
coach will then be forced to decide how valuable you are to the future of the program.
Okay. Good luck to you in the future where ever you go. No one likes an ultimatum like that. From a kid that hasn't accomplished anything. Where does that stop after you bow to it? We have one coach. Period. And it isn't Kadary. My advice to you, try that in life. See how it works for you.

Dont say that
It was the correct answer. Of course there is a chance. The better question would have been what is the probability he leaves. For that, who knows.

Yep. Girard has played noticeably better lately
I think JG is hurt/fatigued or something. Kid has not looked right all season. Maybe he missed his usual off season due to C-19 and just can’t get it back. Kid is not the player/competitor he was last year. At least that’s what I see from my couch.

I think our best company to him maybe Jason Hart. Not to say he is Jason. Good defender, gets to basket, not a great shooter. After 4 years of proving himself in the BE, he was a 2nd round pick.
There are KR’s all over CBB.
