Gee dad, I understand. How do you think Joe will take it?JB might sit his son down and say "listen ,for the good of the team we need to start kadary next game. "
Oh come on. Stop with this.He is being overlooked right now by draft boards because he does not play - but he will grade out very high - he is guaranteed to be an elite defender in the NBA - he can drive, finish and pass - he needs improvement with his shot - particularly his deep shot
I do think Kadary will start next year. With off season improvements, especially with his shooting, he’ll pass Girard, and JB will have no choice. Boeheim already knows what’s up. Kadary has been playing at the end of most of these close games. The one time transfer without sitting out didn’t pass.
Kadary is going nowhere but he better play the most minutes in the back court next season.
He doesn’t need to start but he should be in a lot earlier this year and next.
ReallyYep. Girard has played noticeably better lately
The NBA hasn’t decided anything about moving the age limit down and allowing high school graduates to enter the draft. I think it is likely to happen eventually, but they want to phase it in and give all the stakeholders enough notice and advance warning. With the pandemic, I don’t think it’s eliminated before 2023.I have no inside info, but I can see a scenario where our whole front line leaves after this year if there are rumors of the double draft hitting in 2022 with the NBA waving the HS rule.
If that's the case my guess is JB would start Kadary, JGIII, Buddy, Benny, TBD Center w/ Woody off the bench and then who knows who else.
Annoying nihilistic comment. It’s not helpful to encourage our players to leave.I would if I were him.
strange daysSo... suppose we get the double draft.
Does the NBA create a temporary third round?
If JB is telling Kadary he'll start next year, he must also be telling Joe or Buddy they won't start next year. I have a hard time believing he'd do that. Buddy and Joe will both be extremely experienced Juniors who have shown the ability to score and shoot very well. And both are 'pets' of sorts. As well, it assumes a 'ceiling' for both of them, and that Kadary will exceed Joebuddy's predetermined value. That assumption should already have been made, but since a correlative decision hasn't been made already, i have doubts it'll come later in the incumbents' careers.I'm guessing JB is holding Kadary by telling him he'll start next year.
Again, no inside info, but there is no way Kadary and his camp would be ok with sitting behind JGIII and Buddy again after what's transpired this year.
If it were even a possibility of JB keeping the same guard rotation for next year, I'd tell him to leave and I most assuredly wouldn't be the only one.
See Marek at the 5. It's an upside-down world.Buddy starting at the 3 and playing significant minutes is absolute lunacy.
So is Buddy playing 40 minutes in any game that's not triple overtime, and yet...Buddy starting at the 3 and playing significant minutes is absolute lunacy.
He is being overlooked right now by draft boards because he does not play - but he will grade out very high - he is guaranteed to be an elite defender in the NBA - he can drive, finish and pass - he needs improvement with his shot - particularly his deep shot
I think you mean Leron. If only we got LePhonso.Syracuse is not getting one-and-done players any more, which stinks since it is the school that commercialized it with Carmelo.
We get:
- "And one" players who transfer from schools (Wes, LePhonso, Elijiah, who was two)
- "And none" players like Beasley and Dior
- "And never" players who play the 5 spot
Kadary is much smoother offensively and a way better finisher than Hart.I think our best company to him maybe Jason Hart. Not to say he is Jason. Good defender, gets to basket, not a great shooter. After 4 years of proving himself in the BE, he was a 2nd round pick.
There are KR’s all over CBB.
What makes you think Buddy and Joe will be back?Quincy leaves and we start:
Kadary
Joe
Buddy
Benny
Frank/whoever
AG sixth man and Marek slides in someplace for 30+ if he comes back
He should be the starter . Everyone knows thisAnnoying nihilistic comment. It’s not helpful to encourage our players to leave.
I love this kid. I think he's great. But as far as the NBA is concerned..two things concern me..This is accurate.
He's on their radar already. He's the best NBA prospect.
How do you get on the floor early as a guy that isn't going top 3 in a draft? Defense.
He's got size and defense.
He isnt slow at all. He plays very deliberately until he decides to blow by defenders. Kids got everything from a change up to fastball in his game. His handle is exceptional for 6'6 and hes ambidextrous.I love this kid. I think he's great. But as far as the NBA is concerned..two things concern me..
1. Outside shot..obviously..pretty much have to be able to shoot at the guard position now..few exceptions like Westbrook and Simmons, but they are all world athletes.
2. Seems a bit slow with the foot speed doesn't he? I think in college he can mask this with his size and high skill maneuvering...however at the next level? not so sure he'll be able to get by players with as much success.
Buddy is shooting 27% from 3. JBs nose is longer than his vertical. His athleticism isnt on a chart. Rebounding is non existent. Opposition scores more from his side of the zone. He is a situational player. He should be playing 20 minutes max a game. Combined with Joe they are the least athletic guard combination in the ACC yet he plays more minutes per game than almost any player in the history of Syracuse basketball. As a person who has been alive for a while, i hate 'futuring.' Promises of stuff to come, when you believe you deserve that stuff today... pretty much never work out.
The hat looks good on little Gstrange days
