is overrated and not necessary, quite frankly is clueless. DISCUSS!

Its a pretty good perk for the 1st two games and a BIG benefit for the regional.

unfortunately people in r fanbase r not all there and think it does not make a difference. playing marquette in DC elite 8 was huge

San Jose didn't seem to make a difference for Cal.

Right the first two games its more of a perk then a huge advantage because if you are a 1-4 you should be winning anyways. It probably help against an upset bid but these are games you should be winning anyways.
Now the S16 and E8 games its a huge advantage against either a very good team or a very hot team.

Not entirely. A 4 vs 5 second-round game should basically be a toss-up. So, if one of those two is playing close to home, it could be a big advantage.

so if CUSE is a 4 and playing Arkansas as a 5, where where would cuse have the home court advantage, Bosie, Idaho or Buffalo , new York???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Of course I'd rather play in Buffalo, but if Cuse was a 4 seed they wouldn't be in Buffalo. With more quality teams east of the Mississippi that Buffalo pod would be taken by higher seeded ACC or B1G teams. Any east coast team that's a 4 seed gets shipped out West, like SU did this past year. Here's your 1st weekend locations for 2014

Thurs. - Sat.
Buffalo, NY
Milwaukee, WI
Orlando, FL
Spokane, WA

Fri.-Sun.
Raleigh, NC
San Antonio, TX
San Diego, CA
St. Louis, MO

it depends on where other sites are. for example cuse would have been a 4 in philly this year had there been sites in carolina

The best part about 'Cuse playing close to home is that it makes it easier for me to attend.

I agree with everything you have said but even with a NC site last year since SU was 16 on the S-Curve we would have been shipped out West.

Too bad we weren't stacked for next year as a top 5 team as we could bus within the State of NY in the NCAA Tournament if we went Buffalo-New York City before Dallas potentially.

Navy 97 Syracuse 85. I was there. They went to the line 54 times. We went 21. The crowd was split between SU fans, Navy fans and the empty seats that had been bought by the fans of other teams. Not a "home game" atmosphere at all.
