Any non-believers now?

I never said we suck. When we were down 16 or so, I said it felt like blowout... It did. I left the chat room partially to change mojo and partially to censor myself. Good move.
someone said we suck. I didn't say it was you.

The game wasn't 10 minutes old!!!!

I was there. People were in fact saying the lead was insurmountable with 15 minutes left... in the first half. Oh Lord

We beat a team by 18 that we were at one point down to by 18. Why were we ever down 18?

On the one hand, "runs" are inherent to the nature of basketball, so almost anything is possible. On the other hand, that's a huge swing at this level, and thus very impressive. Wright must have had a long night trying to get his head around how all that happened, LOL! But the truth is you never want to get down by that much, even early. Still, it's a remarkable testament to believing in the system, and believing in the guy next to you. Great win.

I'm shocked.

Sorry to go off topic here, but well, you know how we do by now. :)
One day, I want to post something and somehow make it display that I liked the post. I haven't figured it out yet, but magic does exist.

I gotta admit, I didn't expect this team to be title contenders going into the year, but thanks to Cooney and Grant taking that next step, and Ennis doing a fantastic job, I'm starting to believe we might have a chance at a return to the Final Four. Granted the tournament can be a bit of a crapshoot, but it's hard not to love what we're seeing with this team. In the very least, they're a hell of a lot of fun to watch.

I am sold.

Looking forward, Duke will be a real test, especially @ Cameron. Pitt has had our number over the years and will be tough to sweep. And there's always a chance of a What loss or loss to on the road to a tournament caliber team. But frankly, if SU loses more than 3 games in this PoS conference, I might consider that a disappointment.

Not that it's worth anything really, but Realtimerpi.com has SU going 31-1, yet projects every individual game left on the schedule as a win.

We're pretty good, especially as a team. Wish we had a low post scorer, it's my one concern.

But we've got a great lead trio and a guy in Grant that can be an X factor. If #25 can give us 8 & 5 every night, it would be a huge boost.

Not to go against anything you said, but we didn't have a low post scorer last year and made the Final Four - and if we play a B game instead of a D game against Michigan we make the final game.

Understand your concern, but there aren't many low-post scorers in the country to begin with.

No doubt. I just always like a guy on the block who can score or get fouled. It tends to be a run stopper against good teams.

A valid concern is why have the following not yet developed into reliable low-post scorers?
  • DC2
  • Christmas
  • BMK
Why have a weakness when you can make it a strength? Especially when that strength could prove to be our undoing on some dreery march eve when Ennis decides to not play like a senior, and CJ has one of his "trying too hard" games?

I mean if DC would just not bring that ball down, he'd almost bring you everything you need. People harp on his slowness...I don't know, he probably gets down the court as fast as John Wallace ever loped back down the court on defense.

realtimerpi.com doesn't appear to be very reliable ... it has duke going 9-9 in conference ... I don't see that happening

Today this team continued to answer questions which many people had as to it's composition, talent, and chemistry. There can be little if any doubt left as to the fact that this is one of the best teams in the Nation this year and at this juncture, based on who they have played and the manner in which they've been tested, they are likely the best. Arizona is formidable but Syracuse has certainly proven that they can play well and at times dominate other top ranked teams.

As we close out the early portion of the schedule, this team has performed well beyond even my wildest hopes of what they would be capable of. They have given us much to be proud of and they are shaping up to be a very special group.

We need more academic all-Americans.

I'm a big believer in this team compared to where I was in the beginning of the season. I will say that Cooney and Ennis are going to have to keep bringing it, even if they sustain 80% of what they're doing we'll be tough to beat. There were a lot of question marks before the start of this year which makes the "non believers" not so crazy. I'm loving this run so far though!

To be honest I have only seen the Cali game in Hawaii so far this season. Based on the results I agree they might be special this year. Is that good enough for you judges out there? ;)
