AP (28) / Coaches (29) Polls for Nov 24

I dont think cost is a reason to not go to a game. You can get in the door for $20.
Yeah but paying $30 to park is killer.
You cant bring in food and only allowed to bring unopened bottled water.
At the dome, concession costs are absurd.
Even a bottle of soda is $5. Nachos is $10.

How anyone can afford to bring their family to a game is beyond me.

So using this system and everyone winning out we would likely have...

1. Oregon vs 8. UGA vs 9. Indiana
2. Texas vs 7. Notre Dame vs 10. Tennessee
3. Miami vs 6. Penn State vs 11. Clemson
4. Boise State vs 5. Ohio State vs 12. Arizona State

Which leaves Bama out. They better hope that the CFB Playoff Rankings don't drop them to 13th. Otherwise they will become the biggest South Carolina fans out there.

are these same people never eating out?

$12-15 for a meal at MacDs and they are jammed.

$15+ for a movie and a small soda is $7-8
any work vending is $2-3-4 for a soda now too

parking for our events is $25

whats parking down at the on center for an event
state fair was like $30

Why is parking only expensive for us and Penn state get 100K to park in a field?

I am pretty sure you can bring in food (at least if you aren't a bonehead about it).

I had two ham sandwiches in my pocket Saturday afternoon and the crack security system in place at the dome let me in with no problems.

If this post leads to a new ham sandwich detection enhancement, I am going to be bummed.

and given this list how many would be shockers

Memphis Tulane
Boise - Ore St
Col - Ok st
Ole Miss - miss st
ga - ga tech
ohio st - mich
tenn - vandy
Ill - nW
ND - USC
Ariz - ASU
Ark - mizzu
tex - tam
ISU - KSU

any system that thinks Army is the 25th best team is flawed

On our best day I think we could beat anyone up to Miami

Reality is there is the top 3 and Texas is flaws by Avg QB play
Ga is not Ga of old

I think SMU poses more issues that Miami actually

With the length of CFB games it really takes up your whole day. When I don’t go to a game that is my #1 consideration.

Since we joined the ACC...

Teams that have made an ACC CG (13)
Clemson (7), FSU (3), Pitt (2), UNC (2), Duke, GA Tech, Louisville, Miami, Notre Dame, SMU, UVA, VA Tech, Wake

Teams that have not (6)
BC, Cal, Maryland, NC State, Stanford, SU

Miami or Clemson will add another

So if you ignore the rookies and those no longer in the ACC, then the only teams that have never made an ACC CG are SU and NC State?

That's both sad (SU) and funny (NC State)

BC too. For all three it is more of a function of being in Clemson’s division.

So Syracuse isn't ranked at 8-3 yet Clemson is #12 in both the AP and Coaches polls.

Clemson has exactly 1 win against a team with a winning record (7-4 Pitt). Here are their 9 wins:

App State - 5-5
NC State - 5-6
Stanford - 3-8
@ Florida State - 2-9
@ Wake Forest - 4-7
Virginia - 5-6
@ Virginia Tech - 5-6
@ Pitt - 7-4
The Citadel - (FCS, 5-7)

Syracuse's 8 wins:

Ohio - 8-3
Georgia Tech - 7-4
Holy Cross - (FCS, 6-6)
@ #21 UNLV - 9-2
@ NC State - 5-6
Virginia Tech - 5-6
@ Cal - 6-5
UConn - 7-4

And I don't want to hear about transitive that they beat Stanford and Pitt and Syracuse lost to them. If you start doing transitive for every team then your head will explode and you'll have to start with putting Syracuse at #21 and UNLV unranked since Syracuse beat them.

Clemson's schedule has been extremely weak this year. They in no way shape or form deserve to be #12 and us out of the rankings. If they played us they might win easily. They might lose though too. Not going by hypotheticals of who would win they don't deserve to be that much higher than us based on those schedules. College football is too much of a 'let's rank the teams based off personal biases' sport.

I thought BC did make an ACC CG once, before we came along.

Seem to recall them playing VT in Jacksonville in front of dozens.

The Matt Ryan year.

I was talking since we joined. They made two prior.

I know. I had said that the only two teams to never ever make one outside the rookies and Maryland were us and NC State.

Parking is free at Penn State if you bring your young son along.

I see posts like this, and I wonder why people don't buy in more to my "rank within cohorts" concept.
