Aquille Carr

The problem with 5'-6'' guards is that they become a serious defensive liability at the top of the zone. If we were a man 2 man team, I don't think it would be a problem.
I understand. But, he has been offered they must see something in him.

Maybe you should start watching games in seattle or orlando because apparently you are far SYRACUSE !!
A. Carr if the cuse decides to sign him will be a star & if syracuse does not sign him and goes up against his team he will provide them with headaches !!

Dude is 5'6. Jonny Flynn is listed at 6'0. GMac was listed (generously) at 6'2. If you're going to condescendingly tell someone to do their homework you should probably make sure your facts are correct first.
have you ever stood next to either one of them ? if you have you would never say those words .

Our zone did not suck then the rest of the teams had better talent !! Do your homework !!
I'm starting to think you are a troll.

I initially thought you were some Aquille Carr groupie in the shape of a 16 year old boy.

Of course, the two don't have to be mutually exclusive.

I was unaware that the TV feed got better with the closer proximity you are to the Dome. Must be a telecommunications research breakthrough on your behalf.

FWIW, feel free to brush up on your English comprehension skills before you decide to post here. It can only help your cause.

Buddy calm down with the insults we love the same team we just evaluate talent differently , their is enough time to change your mind !!! Groupie never that , just know the quality basketball talent that SU could use ..

Syracuse has a Clown for a mascot? Who is this "SU CLOWN" you are shouting about?

Ms. Carr, please don't take it personal, your boyfriend just doesn't have the size to play at the top of the zone. I'm sure he'll make a nice career for himself at a midmajor or lesser power conference team. We'll stick with Cooney and MCW and Isaiah Whitehead and other guards that weren't extras on the Smurfs.

Useless debate which can't be really proven unless he signs with another zone playing school.

If he goes elsewhere and sux, then no one is right (though kurt is "more wrong")

If he goes elsewhere and blows up into the next AI (or even just a Boynkins), people will still say he would not have fit in the SU-zone system.

FWIW, Kurt has been pretty consistent in this and other threads about his belief that A.C. is extremely legit. I don't know why we can't just accept this opinion and move on. Many people on this board, myself included, have made seemingly audacious predictions before. Some pan out, some don't.

Carr seems to be a very talented young guard, and certainly may be able to excel at any school he chooses, including SU. That being said, Syracuse has been able to recruit highly rated and skilled players that fit within their player criteria, meaning long players that can spread their arms out and make things very difficult to pass the ball against the zone. The "waterbug" type guards that annoy everyone because of their quickness are almost nullified in the zone and become less of a weapon. It is probably similar to the Paul Harris situation where, if he chooses the orange, I will be a huge fan, but he may be better suited to another team that can utilize all of his talents.

well said !! thx orange fog !!

What are you sleepless in Seattle ? You had to call your little friends for back up!!
You mad bro? If you want to disagree with what people say, thats fine but do it in a respectful manner. You came at OE like a spider monkey... damn right we are gonna go all honey badger on you. No one denies Aquille Carr being a talented player but I also don't think he is the right fit at this university. So please, tell me how my knowledge of the game is limited while you destroy the English language.

Yes, I sent out a mass text "code orange" for everyone to come rushing to my defense.

You should use this thread as an example of what would happen to Carr if he came to Syracuse and played defense at the top of the zone; like what happened to you in this thread, Carr would also get shredded.

I wonder if he saw the news?

This kid looks like a great talent based on his stats and word of mouth but his height is a concern so if we have better options we should pursue them. And he should wait to see if he grows any further before he decides. He's got two years.

One thing I found interesting is that in his highlight videos it seems like over 50% of the highlights are him breaking down his defender with a crossover but then it just goes to the next clip. Like 8 times out of 10 they don't show him finish or pass. It just goes to the next clip. Makes me think he either gets blocked or doesn't make the basket. Why else would they not finish that highlight. I know he's put up some monster numbers in games and I've never seem him play but I would rather we get someone else.

This was posted on the comment section of one of his highlight videos. Definite Lulz

"damn those crossovers are nastier then my internet history"

Kurt Alert is now on the Seton Hall board talking about how he's been a fan of them since 1986 and Carr's roughly the same size as Jeremy Hazell.
