There are commercials on the radio for the Clemson Orange out...nothing on this weekend's game.Too each their own, but I haven’t seen anything from the marketing department for this game?
Yeah the hard fires know there is a game but if you asked the average person on the street, they have no idea
Marketing could be part of the problem -- I don't know enough about what they do in the local area. I see the organic social. Paid social should be a massive part of their budget with how you can target and drive demand.Too each their own, but I haven’t seen anything from the marketing department for this game?

Anyone who would have any interest knows there’s a game and what time.I agree, sadly, most of central NY doesn’t see it as a priority and with little to no Syracuse marketing, hard to get people in the dome
Most don’t even know there is a home game this weekend I would bet
Okay, so we should never ever advertiseAnyone who would have any interest knows there’s a game and what time.
There isn’t a single person who is going to see an ad and decide to go a game on that basis.
Not sure I'd go to that extreme. Advertising works to drive overall demand. If you're doing promotions for individual games, you can definitely drive a lot of demand through social (including YouTube) and targeted campaigns too.Anyone who would have any interest knows there’s a game and what time.

Does it need to be billboards or TV commercials anymore? Absolutely not.
At a certain point, blame needs to fall on the community and alumni.Okay, so we should never ever advertise
Got it
I give the students credit for showing up the way they have. I would never have thought the gen pop would be ones not coming to games. Wild
I'd also add - if they're doing smart digital targeting, folks like us shouldn't be seeing ads as we're already customers and going to games. They can easily upload data on all their season ticket holders and not target stuff to us. The amount of data available and the ability to target ads is FREAKY. Am I confident they're doing that? Sadly no.
Anything before 3:30 and you lose families who have kids playing sports. And students won’t be awake until the 2nd half. It’s the same reason we cheer for noon kicks on the road. It's gotta be an event. Which requires a few things...SU is ranked, a big name opponent and no earlier than a 3:30 kickoff.
It’s not 1980.Okay, so we should never ever advertise
Got it
It’s not 1980.
Team is on tv every week, that’s what will generate the most interest. Internet puts schedule and tickets minutes away with minimal effort.
As for actual ads, i hardly watch local tv and I’ve seen ads. Same with local radio. They have their own radio station essentially.
plenty of social media and internet presence.
I was addressing your assertion that no advertising was being done. But you just told me no ads would get anyone to come in?
Social media and internet presence, are ads LOL
But as I stated in my previous post, the Rumble Ponies are out advertising a D1 P5 school on social media

I wasn’t addressing how effective it was.
Fact is the marginal fan is going to be engaged by how they do on the field, not a sixty second ad.
2019 shows how crucial pre-sales are. That’s what a 10 win season can do. The second half of last season really hurt in that regard. Even if we stumble a bit starting next week, we need to finish well. A lot like 2018, basicallyGoing to throw this in here...

Last year we had 2 sellouts. Then the wheels fell off.
Our fans will come out. Win Saturday and I think we'll all be happy with Clemson. Beat Clemson and we'll be happy with the rest of the season.
Like Dino said, we have to be consistently good. Once we get there, the fans will show up.
That’s a demographic problem in a 100 mile radius from the dome. I having a feeling that most younger people in this area that have disposable income are not from here. And honestly, we need more social media advertising to encourage younger generations to come to the game
We have the OLDEST fan base in the ACC by far
That needs to change
