At least we're not UConn v2022

UConn came out with their haymaker in Q1.

Then reality hit.

Mora ain't a miracle worker

Their starting QB went out and they now are using a frosh, or is that nothing to consider?
It is, but everything in the first, was based on Carter's runs, not Roberson

The UConn broadcast just aired a commercial for Summer’s Eve intimate wash. Whudthefuq?
How else is Fox coming up with all that bread for the B1G?

UConn played a great first quarter and won it 14-0. Lost the second quarter 21-0.

Nathan Carter has 9 carries for 130 yards. He carried them pretty much singled handedly. The UConn QB is 4-12 and looks like he is playing college football for the first time, which I believe he is.

The UConn defense started out good but they gave up over 200 yards in the second quarter.
Tells us all we wanna know about Yukon's QB depth

A true freshman is the 2nd string QB beating out 3 other more senior QB candidates. Zion was by far their best recruit but he is an average P5 recruit.

I know here in the Fan microcosm Jim Mora is poo-pooed but IMO(which I know is not highly valued) and that of other knowledgeable football fans around the country, he could catapult UCONN upward. The guy has huge experience and has something to prove. The game at USU tomorrow should be interesting.
That’s not how it’s trending big fella

UConn definitely isn't the complete non competitive program I expected will give them that. They were much sharper and prepared than a Utah St team that looked sluggish. This game showed Mora will be good for them. The field position battle played massively into UConn staying in it.

All that said I don't think this season goes much differently for them than expected. Doubt the running game will see that many lanes the rest of the year now that it's on tape. Will make an interesting follow in how things shake out for them.

Ugh, the UCONN game may be a rock fight,

Agree. Was watching bits and pieces of the game and it wasn’t clear to me. Is ex SU LB Siriki Diabate the acting DC for UConn? Thought I saw him on the sideline interacting with players and officials like he was.

If so, he did a fine job.
