At least we're not UConn v2022

Agree. Was watching bits and pieces of the game and it wasn’t clear to me. Is ex SU LB Siriki Diabate the acting DC for UConn? Thought I saw him on the sideline interacting with players and officials like he was.

If so, he did a fine job.

I am at a family event so was watching on mute but also did see him. Wasn't sure if he was acting DC or not though

Apparently UConn’s starting QB (Roberson) and starting receiver (Marion) had season ending injuries per Mora’s post game comments. I guess he doesn’t subscribe to Dino’s say nothing philosophy. Anyway, it appears that a true freshman QB will be behind center when they face us.

If Mora keeps this up, he will be gone after this season or next. If he can have this positive of an impact on UConn, he will be wanted by much better profile teams. It is clear, the kids responded to him and his system well, they played hard, from what I saw.

UConn lacks P5 players, depth and experience to play at high levels and as an independent, I don't see them getting the type of players they need to have perennial winning teams. Mora is good, but he will want a chance to show what he can do with a real opportunity. Just this CFB fan's opinion.

Maybe, but Utah State has played like crap and still won by 11. We would have to come out completely unfocused to have even a close game against UConn.
If you’re right then I’m worried

UConn looks much improved. Mora did a fine job getting these guys ready for a tough team in the road. You were right on this and I give you props for it.

Well done!
Mora can coach circles around many coaches.
Uconn looked sharp, organized, they played hard. Guy knows how to run a program.

Yeah - he was a HC in the league, he’s got coaching chops. And it was pretty evident yesterday. Tough break with some players, but that team will be more competitive than they’ve been in a decade.

I give Uconn AD credit. Great hire. I wonder if JW would consider him if he makes a change.

So Mora came up with a good plan and was able to jump out 14-0, then reality set in and they were outscored 31-6 the rest of the way.

With SU’s coordinators, SU will be able to adjust to whatever he comes up with.

SU wins that game by 30.

Did Diabate call the defense for UCONN in that game? Whoever did really did a great job and the UCONN D was very prepared and conditioned.

Mora should be credited with adding discipline, focus, and teamwork to the puppies. Edsall left the pups in a mess. He cannot work miracles, they do not have P5 talent nor depth. SU should win without a doubt, twos and threes should see the field .

You think Syracuse is that much better than Utah State, I don't think they are. UCONN will improve game to game, and the Rent will be fanatical for the Orange. Also it's a trap game between Lville and the Boilermakers. Dino needs to have his team ready for 3 tough challenges.

They could have won yesterday we are getting a break not playing the QB who was able to move the chains though and whatever is behind him is going to be bad.

The frosh QB really did well managing the game and moving the ball some. Not a lot of mental errors and penalties, good coaching. He will progress as he gets more work in practice with the 1's.
