Class of 2021 ATH CJ Dippre (PA) Portal from Maryland to Alabama

The Big Dippre! Pick SU. It’s in the stars!

I apologize if it was all ready discussed but do we know what position we're recruiting him for?

(grammar-police siren blares, before coming to a quick stop...)

So, what you mean to say is that he IS a must get?

(Just kidding...and I agree with you, by the way)

SI All-American Candidate CJ Dippre Highlights and Evaluation

CJ Dippre is an athlete prospect from Lakeland High School in Jermyn, Pa. Dippre is an SI All-American candidate.

Prospect: ATH CJ Dippre
Projected Position: Tight End
Status: SI All-American candidate
Vitals: 6-foot-5, 250 pounds
School: Jermyn (Pa.) Lakeland
Committed to: Maryland
Frame: Tall and well put together. Good width across shoulders, chest. Powerful, tightly-wound lower half, with natural size. Room for more mass, but emphasis will be quick-twitch muscle.

Athleticism: Extremely coordinated. Runs with rare sense of balance for big man. Strong. Adequate short-area quickness. Shows average play speed at best, though prep coach boasts of 4.67 40-yard dash this past winter. Very good hand-eye coordination.
Instincts: Refuses to go down on first contact as ball-carrier. Devastating stiff arm. Not a home-run threat and lacks wiggle, but can pick up straight-line chunks. Hands catcher. Comfortable bringing down jump balls in crowd; uses size to box out defender on end-zone fades.

If you’re a real TE (as opposed to a Gadsden TE) it’s going to take some convincing to come to SU.
Yeah given recent history it would require our OC to make a inhouse visit to share the vision. Starting from scratch at that position.

Anae & Beck have plenty of film from their days at UVA & BYU.

And they can simply say that we didn’t have the right guy in the program to use that way -
But we will one you commit to us!

Let's hope.

Agree. I would be really surprised if we do not take a transfer TE in this class.

A TE who can run and catch the ball is a staple of the Anae offense.

Not talking to you Comstock on this but no, Gadsden is not a TE. He played the Anae 'football player' position.

We should be an attractive place for a talented TE looking to showcase his receiving skills. Hope it happens.
