Class of 2016 ATH Moe Neal (NC) SIGNED LOI/ENROLLED

Here's my reasoning for why I want Eason, in addition to solidifying some things with Team Washington: we give scholarships to long snappers. Why can't we give a scholarship to a return specialist? Dude runs a 4.38, you can find a spot for him.

I know that long/short snapper scholies are easy pickings for lambasting, but the last snapper turned out to be a team captain, no schlepp in punt coverage, and an inspirational figure that all football teams should long to have. The previous "snapper" recruit turned out to be a 3 year starter at center and all big east honoree. I seem to remember some horrible, horrible snapping back in the 90's.

Im still salty we didnt geab crawford last class

I never said anything bad about the long snapper. I just think if you can have a long snapper on scholarship, you can have a return specialist on scholarship.

Bottom line: Moe is an athletic playmaker that we can't afford to miss out on. Need to make a big impression on his visit in mid-July.

I like the prospect of a return specialist, as well, given how anemic our return game has been for YEARS. And if landing Moe / Eason helps us to steal Colon from Ped State, at such a key position of need, I'm all for it.

Sorry, didn't mean to insinuate your intent. However, I would just hope that a "dedicated" return specialist scholie could be as successful as the two scholarships I referred to.

We all do. That's why we want to give Eason a chance, he could fix the return game, while also potentially giving us much more than we expected.

You don't teach 4.38 speed, if the kid can remotely play go right ahead and do what you can to bring him onto the team.

Not claiming to be an expert talent scou t, but how is Moe only 3 stars? His highlight video if freaking nuts.
He's an incredible athlete. Assuming he's only 3 stars because he doesn't play against the best competition.

I really hope so. I have to imagine it would also strengthen our chances with Aapri as well if Moe joins Robert.

Love Aapri regardless of his size.

Just a reminder that today is the last day of the Dead Period and Moe is visiting this week on 7/16.

seems like wake's our main opponent barring an offer from florida or tennessee. Guess what wake doesnt have? Our facilities, history and robert washington.

Wake does have home field advantage.

I'd say it's a toss up.

Wow, I totally forgot just how damn good his highlight tape is. Talk about versatility. One play he's busting off a 80 yard run up the middle, the next he's lining up as a wide receiver catching bombs. He and Erv at H-B (wish there was a cool name for this position like Devil Back at ASU, or many others) would be fun, with a lot of potential. The drop off between Neal, and Stubbs highlight reel seems substantial though. Not even in the same ballpark. Neal has wiggle, possibly more speed, and seems much more of a natural as a receiver. imo someone like Neal is what we need at the position. Stubbs seems more suited for DB, so really hope we can land him.

I am a big fan of Moe. I think he's the second best recruit in this class next to RW. Moe is the real deal and is perfect fit for the H Back in our system. He will compliment RW's style. Tyler Thompson is more of a true back that is a downhill guy with a little wiggle, but Moe can hurt you and several ways. His junior year stats were ridiculous in terms of rushing, receiving, TD's and special teams.

The future HB's seem to be Phillips, Neal, Perkins and Stubbs. If we can land Neal

Does landing Neal almost assure us of landing Aapri Washington next year?

Maybe this cycle we land Aapri if the right players come on board for '16. We may have a few '17s lined up by February.

No, but it certainly doesn't hurt our cause. Aapri will make his own decision, but having Robert and Moe (and potentially flipping Colon) would certainly give us a huge leg up.

I like the idea of giving the position a new name. Make it more appealing. Submit your ideas and we will take to Twitter and force the name change. I vote for RIP back
