Attendance for Liberty

So your point is we stink, awesome post.
hey don't take my word for it . dino's record speaks for itself. if you think it's great godluvya.
and then explain how a program like LIBERTY was able to surpass us on the national spectrum.

Yep that’s exactly what my post said, little reading comprehension problem here . I simply said that Liberty has a good football team led by an All American QB . That’s just a fact.

My point would be that if we’re going to be underdogs at home in week 4, it at least should be to somebody like West Virginia or Purdue or Northwestern. I know the response will be these games are scheduled years in advance, but schools adjust schedules all the time. Our out of conference scheduling has been a mess for years.
Hopefully we’re not paying Liberty to come here.

Liberty is better then Northwestern and Purdue. When you actually follow college football look me up we can have a debate.

let's say you're right. OK . how did they get there ? coaching ? facilities ? $$budget$$ ? explain.
i'd like to know that formula so that SYRACUSE might get a major booster shot of it.
cuz frankly the notion of SYRACUSE being UNDERDOGS to liberty college pisses me off.

They may be better (see my post above) but we get nothing substantial from beating them. And they‘re still a sketchy school and coach.
And I’ve been “actually” following cfb for 55 years.

Do you care, look it up, check the history of the head coach. The effort and money spent. I certainly don’t. I wouldn’t have scheduled them at all and that’s nothing to do with the perceived quality of the program , but that’s a debate for a different board. Fact is in 2021 there ranked a 26/27 if you go by polls receiving votes.

Sold their souls?

Took a coach noone would touch, and many transfers that other schools may have deemed a risk?

LOL a fringe top 25 team and some people acting like Liberty is basically Ualbany.

If y’all didn’t realize, Liberty might have the number 1 qb draft prospect in the NFL draft.

They are a legit team, a win is a BIG win for Cuse tomorrow

Willis is as high as # 5 on some Heisman rankings.

They dont spend more money than Cuse. They have an excellent QB and a freaky individual who happens to be a very good football coach all Junk aside.

Unfortunately the rutgers debacle coupled with the hassle for those that need to be tested will make this a low attendance game. I was on the bus to the game and a cuse fan was talking to a rutgers fan and kept saying how we are a basketball school and we stink… this was a cuse fan mind you! I was infuriated but after the rutgers game I couldn’t really be mad anymore. We need to win in order to change the perspective and get fans in the door that’s it . If you want them to come the you have to make them believe there not wasting a Saturday.

At least the guy went to the game. He can say what he wants.

If there is less than 25k there tomorrow...shame on the Syracuse community.

Most of the Syracuse community doesn't even know there is a game tomorrow. There isn't a large group of local causal fans who have decided not to attend due to COVID, the weather, Fri night kick etc. The local interest in the program right now is Greg level bad, the casual fan is pretty much non-existent.

Shame on the community? Shame on the University for letting apathy set in! Except for a couple of years, Syracuse football has been an awful watch for the past 20 years! They’ve pretty much lost a generation of kids who could care less about SU football and with an aging population in this area, 20,000 people in attendance is going to be the norm unfortunately……

Hearing it’ll top out less than 20K actual unless something odd happens.

it’s Liberty….hard core fans realize it’s a good game….casuals don’t. Add a dash of COVID concern and the losss to Rutgers….and this is where we’re at
The Friday factor cannot be ignored as well. It’s just more challenging logistically. Prob a 1-2k factor

true but the game has been scheduled for friday since spring so anyone who wanted to go could make plans for it

why is friday an issue for most? just how many come from outside an hour or so normally. its an 8pm game so you could work to 5 and get here from Albany on time.

They take a bunch of SEC flunkies and hired a crook as a coach. No thanks.
