Obviously thrilled with Saturday's win.

· I firmly believe that I can despise Boston College and acknowledge a modicum of respect for the school at the same time. I mean, SU and BC are so similar it is remarkable. Yea, they’re Catholic. Yea, we have a MUCH better history. I get it, we are not identical. But at present, we are more like BC than any other CFB program.

· I think that the rivalry is now (re)lit. It’ll take a few years to really burn, but it will come.

· Many here my bristle, but I really really like Steve Addazio. I like his fire. I like his coaching and BC’s system. I like that his kid “played” here. In my mind, I think he wanted the SU job, but the timing of Marrone’s departure did not fit the jigsaw puzzle that ultimately rendered Shafer (who I like and am behind 100%). BC is in good hands.

· How fast can WR go from a weakness to a team strength? How about 6-7 months? We shoud have a nice stable of wideouts next year. Adding present Orangemen (Broyld, Cornelius, Estime, dare I say it Funderburke) with future Orangemen (Custis, KJ Williams, Cooper, perhaps Ishmael) and you get a lot of talent. Hopefully one or 2 of the young players are All-ACC caliber performers.

· Speaking of receivers, has anyone ever heard anything about Corey Winfield (redshirt WR from state of Missouri). Is he developing? I ask because he was a decent recruit. Late add. And done forget that in concept, Adrian Flemming has a shot to comeback in ’14. He should get a waiver.

· I think that SU’s win last season at Missouri is just now subtly taxing the Tigers. I think that there are just enough voters out there who cannot wrap their arms around Mizzou’s success that year within the context that they did not go bowling last year. Remember, we knocked them out of a bowl game with our comeback win last year in Columbia. If they win that and their bowl game, … where are they ranked now? Who knows?

Ummmm... You might want to edit your post. BC and SU both Catholic? Maybe Notre Dame is an Islamic institution?

He was saying that we are similar to BC despite the fact they're a catholic institution and we have a better history.

BC = Catholic
SU = Protestant

Show me where it says that.

Right here:

"I mean, SU and BC are so similar it is remarkable. Yea, they’re Catholic. Yea, we have a MUCH better history. I get it, we are not identical. But at present, we are more like BC than any other CFB program."

I concentrated on the first two sentences--I presumed that when he wrote "Yea, they're Catholic" after just writing about how similar they were, I took it too mean that both institutions were of Catholic origin. Now I see what he meant. My mistake, and I apologize.

First time I read it, I thought the same thing.

Hence the only reason we have Attorneys...well that and to git me the money I deserve like the man on TV sez.

Well...TGD did call SS Braveheart. BC is now Longshanks.

BC is more like Robert the Bruce. They act all nicey nice then stab you in the back after assuring you of your continued existence together.

With all of this rivalry talk, I've seen Ferri references, ending Williams heisman chances, Addozio connections, etc but nobody has brought up the fact that these Golden Homers hung both us and our yearly cross-divisional brethren out to dry by cutting back room deals in 2005. Yes they are our rival, they tried to bury us in the old BE and we need to punish them for many many many years to come. BC!
