I feel that these distractions can help pull the team closer together, the bottom line is that they are still distractions. I'm not saying Eastern Michigan is a cupcake, but this is a good game for us to play on Tuesday. I don't care if we only win by one, as long as we win. The only thing that scares me a bit is that Rob Murphy should know how to attack the 2-3 zone. We should be way too athletic for them however. Assistant coaches and players really step up and prevent any type of upset.

Now making a big assumption that nothing else new comes out this week, this still begs a lot of speculation and unanswered questions. Cuse will be in the national spotlight on Friday night. A lot of people across the country could be turning in to watch Cuse play. Some out of curiousity and some to watch two really good teams play. It will be interesting to see what the line is on the game.

In actuality, this is a meaningless game, however we know this could show the effects that all of this drama has on the players and the coaching staff. Losing to Florida is nothing to be ashamed of if it does happen, but the way the game plays out will dictate a lot on how much focused the coaches and players are and how big these distractions really are.

I don't want to make any predicitions, but will stick with best case scenario. Everything remains status quo through the week and the team can get a good week of practice and preparation in. What happens Friday night will be based on how the ball bounces and who the refs are.

I, for one, will be very excited to see some basketball and to see how Fab and Kris and especially our guards do versus a pretty good team.

There will be a lot of media in town attending the game and most likely the post game presser. Questions will be asked. How JB reacts will probably determine his fate.
