Being a Bills fan is the most frustrating task ever

Spiller is killing me.
I have Stevie in one of my leagues and needed a decent game from him with some bad matchups and by weeks, 1 catch for -1 yards wasn't exactly what I had in mind.
You know what's hilarious? THOSE ARE EXACTLY THE TWO PLAYERS I WAS REFERRING TO.

Lol. Spiller is the most unimpressive "elite" running back ever.

T. Richardson says hello. Not sure what the Colts would've done without his 20 for 60.
At least Spiller has been facing tough front 7s.

Richardson isn't elite in any way. The Browns fleeced the crap out of the Colts. Good for them.

Ya I don't even know what an elite RB is. None of them except AP (and maybe McCoy I guess) is worth a 1st RD pick. It's just not that important of a position.
It's funny how everyone assumes the Colts are smarter & gives them the benefit of the doubt based on lucking into the worst record the two best years ever to have the worst record. Nice job, that takes a lot of skill.

I hope EJ & Hoyer both pan out. Both teams have enough players on their rosters to go some places with a franchise QB & God knows the cities/fans deserve it.

I think they threw the flag because he took his helmet off but I agree with what your saying. The Bills D has been pretty good this year but man that offense looks putrid at times, Hackett's play calling is maddening.
Outside of some maddening Hackett moments, I've enjoyed the first 4 weeks. Promising stuff
I'm surprised Hackett is getting as much flack as he is considering the Bills have faced the #2, #3, and #7 defenses followed by the defending world champions that still have Ngata, Suggs and now Dumervil and he's working with a very raw rookie quarterback and the "star" of the offense forgot how to recognize holes and for some reason doesn't have nearly the same burst.

Despite all of that, the Bills offense is currently ranked #14 in the NFL in total offense. The Bills haven't ranked better than #14 in offense since 2002.

Maybe your expectations were too high? Not sure.

Wow. didn't realize those were the defense ranks they faced. Good perspective.

Hackett will have his ups and downs, he also has a rookie QB and a line with some injuries. Bills are 2-2 and both he and Doug are doing just fine, again rookie qb not named RG3, Luck or Wilson, I think because of last year people put unrealistic expectations on rookie qb's. Bills will be 7-9, 8-8 and continue to build with their rookie qb, rookie HC, and rookie OC. I think people go way over the top week to week with this stuff. It's the ingg NFL and look at the defenses they have faced.

I think they came close to setting the all time rushing yds against record for the Ravens yesterday. They won the game and had a two score lead for most of it. They came within a bobble of putting it out of reach in the mid fourth.

They made great use of their TE's, Woods came through when Johnson was taken away, the RB's gutted out a lot of carries. And they took their shots down field.

Yep, of all this issues the Bills are working through, what's holding them back is play calling.

Yeesh.

it's pretty funny how this is another whiteknuckle special ala 2010

one thing that can be stated with no uncertainty is that dave wannstedt sucks

this defense should be worse than last year's with this cfl secondary they're stuck with

marrone hires good people on defense

For the vast majority of the NFL games are whiteknuckle specials. Seriously, what are you expecting?

Love Alonso . I was thrilled with the woods and Alonso picks in the draft and they've done nothing to change my mind
i don't pay much attention to the draft. i knew they drafted him but didn't know anything. then the preseason comes, they show his head shot and i said, "Kiko Alonso is white?!?"

bill simmons reggie cleveland all stars entry there

Wannstedt is the worst coach I've ever seen. I'm seriously not exaggerating. Rushing 3 guys in critical spots while the opposing team just waltzes down the field for the gamewinning score. Disgusting.

It's funny how guys like Aaron Williams and Leodis McKelvin were bums in Wannstedt's system and are looking like All-Pro's in Pettine's. Aaaron Williams was an absolute freak yesterday. Leodis has been a shutdown corner all year. I can't even imagine what Pettine's going to do when he has Gilmore and Brooks back.

Most aggravating thing I have ever seen in my life. Contrast that to Pettine who blitzes a Hail Mary attempt with Kiko.

I wonder how these guys still get top coaching gigs. For example, Schottenheimer on the Rams. The dude has one of the fastest players in the league in Tavon Austin and the idiot doesn't find simple ways to get him the ball. Wideout screens are NOT hard to execute. Look at the Jets offense in '11 with Sanchez. We are seeing it again this year with the Rams. Just awful.

It's exactly what I expected. Marrone's in his element.

Alonso just makes plays. Bills have the making of a pretty good defense.

Pettine is light years ahed of Dave "I never ever freaking blitz" Wanstdadt. The Bills D looks the best I have seen in a long time and I can only imagine how good it could be if we could get even a mediocore pass rusher on the other side of Mario.

Dareus is really playing better this year as well. Carrington was supposed to be that pass rusher but unfortunately hes done for the year. Also have to admit, Branch is better than Carrington anyway. Branch isnt a pass rusher but he definitely eats up a ton of space. They can rotate Hughes in on passing downs.

Agree on Branch just unfortunate that he can't really rush the passer at all. I know he was hurt but I was hoping we would give Anderson at least a shot this year to see what he had left, he and Mario healthy on the same line would have been nice. Dareus and Kyle have always been great rushign the passer but there play against the Run has always been mediocore to bad, yesterday was the best I have ever seen it.

Anyone else's heart stop on that long attempt late to Torrey Smith? I was almost certain it would either a) be a catch or b) pass interference. Thank fully it was a harmless incompletion

Once we ran the ball three times like we were up 7 late and had Shawn I shank every important punt Powell in I assumed Baltimore would at least tie the game it just seemed to be setting up like so many other heartbreaking losses I have had to watch. Thank god for Alonso and also Searcy had his best game as a Bill by far.

I'm not, it's identical to what we heard here (run run pass hurrrr).

Then Nassib and Lemon developed ESP, the o-line turned into this mutant amoeba wall, etc.

How about the fake reverse on the goalline where Lee Smith (c'mon, Lee Smith?) trips. Hackett set that up perfectly. That was spicy.
