Being Gay issue vs. child abuser issue?

This is actually kind of clear to me. This is going to boil down to either Bernie is just a gay weirdo that did some weird things, and has a disgusting wife, doing disgusting things, but children were not involved. Or, is he a monster if children are involved?

I tried to watch some of the ESPN stuff this am but with kids running around, I was turning it down, off, etc, so I didn't catch it all, and I'm sure I haven't read many posts on it. However, I did read the transpript post and I have a hard time believing LF is so cavalier with her attitude, that she could possibly referring to child abuse, or child sex acts by BF. It appears she is talking about BF being gay, having had gay acts with Davis, or wanting more, etc (I didn't see where she had sex with Davis, though). Many of us refer to young adults 18-25 as kids. I do it at work frequently, or when I see young couples making bad decisions.

Bottom line, both the Fines are deviates, and LF appears to be something created in fiction novel. That said, if Bernie is "just" a deviate that did not commit child abuse/sex acts, then the program can survive this.

In order for this to happen:
-Davis and Lange had to lie.
-The third story has to be a lie, which seems fishy at this point. However, so did Lang and Davis at first...
-Law enforcement concludes the part of it happening to them as kids is false.

Ideally, I'd like to see BF come out and say "yes, I'm gay" and did some things gay adults to, but never, in a million years, would do anything to hurt a minor, did anything to a minor, etc. That cannot happen because it is not the best for him legally but that is what would be best for SU hoops, the Univ, JB, the community,etc.

Can anyone elaborate if I'm on the right track, or I missed something pretty important that makes my post incorrect?

That's my current reaction as well. The tone in her voice ... She would have to be a sociopath if what she was diacussing was child abuse. Of course, she could well be just that. But so far the (carefully?) excerpted segments they've played don't end all hope that this might be something other than what it's being reported as.

I have to admit I read Dash's "scoop" and thought, actually that makes some sense. Talk about grasping for straws...

I agree with much of what you say. I think right now I am 85% sure that Bernie is guilty. But there is 15% of my mind thinking he is just gay and never molested Davis. That can all go away after info from the raid and new accuser comes out.

As to SU being in the clear, I think I am 66% sure we will make it through this ok. Again that can change with more info.

I agree with much of what you say. I think right now I am 85% sure that Bernie is guilty. But there is 15% of my mind thinking he is just gay and never molested Davis. That can all go away after info from the raid and new accuser comes out.

As to SU being in the clear, I think I am 66% sure we will make it through this ok. Again that can change with more info.

Agreed, though I'm a little more confident that SU is in the clear.
