It’s hard to make odds for this game.

There are endless distractions, who knows what the defense will look/play like, and who knows if the offense will show up. A strong/healthy OL + healthy TD could mean a very productive offense. A new scheme could mean a very confused UNC, and covid could cause chaos in the UNC locker room. The end result could be a victory.

Conversely, our offense might not show up, the defense might get lost, and COVID could focus UNC, and we could get stomped into oblivion.

I’m optimistic, so I like our chances, but more so than any other year, 2020 cfb will be a wild ride for all teams, especially Syracuse. We could be great, we could be average, and we could be terrible, and I don’t think I’d be surprised.

College football is crazy by nature to predict what team will show up game to game. This season will be off the chain. If I were a gambler I would sit this season out but we all know the degenerates are going to gamble come hell or high water. There’s going to be a lot of mortgage and car payments up in smoke this year.

Yeah, wouldn’t bet on this game ever. But line seems high. They have talent and a good QB, but the hype might be outpacing their actual team. I think we have more in our “good” category than many nationally believe.

then that had games vs mercer and GT they won. so that were 6-5. suddenly winning vs NC st and temple makes them a beast top 25 team? they scored late in the 4th to beat USC. they scored with a min to go to beat Miami, they scored late to beat Duke and struggled and lost to wake.

we need to find a way to score thats for sure.

Yep. The hype train is off the rails. They *should* be better than us based on recruiting. Their QB is very good.

I didn't know UNC was perceived to be that good. That's a lot of points. I figured it would be about 12-13. It's already at -21. I know Mack has recruited well but this is only year 2. Who knows.

Look at what they did to Temple in their bowl game last year.
That is the type of game I see happening.

Agree with your take. They have recruited well with mac and minus our secondary, probably are better at every other position. Their true soph qb is the real deal. Kid can spin it, runs the O, and has the moxy a college qb needs.

I like us to win. They were picked to be the worst ACC team a year ago so people think Brown is a miracle worker. But its not hard to be 7-5 in the coastal we might have been that in that side of the conference.

Its hilarious that Coastal Carolina vs Kansas is the only game that week that is single digit point spread.


We are nowhere near bad enough to be dogs like this. But I like the chalk on the other ACC games.

Then they took Clemson within 1 point (good job but you didn’t win, plus somebody does this every year before Clemson goes into CFP mode)

Sprinkle 2 wins against Duke and GT (combined conference records of 5-11) around a bunch of losses to WF, App state, VT, Virginia & Pitt

Then they finished with 3 straight wins, but nobody noticed they were against Temple, NCST (combined (combined 6-10 conference records) & FCS Mercer

They had almost an identical strength of schedule as us and finished with 1 more regular season win.

Plus doesn’t Tommy average a touchdown like every 3 minutes vs UNC?
