Bilas breaks down the freshamn and their play to date

I know Ennis is on these freshmen trackers and all, but let's be honest - these things are a joke.

Is it a coincidence that all the freshmen that get hyped are all on big-time programs? There are plenty of deserving freshmen that do not get the attention (they get it, but not to the point of saturation like Randall, Parker, Gordon, Wiggins). Luckily what Jay Bilas and the rest of ESPN think has little to no bearing on these players' future and what the NBA thinks.

Consider these two players: one plays for the number one team and has been part of the freshmen tracker since before the season; one plays for a "crappy SEC" team that is not a "basketball" school. Guess which one is part of the ESPN love-fest.

Player One: 30.5 MPG, 49% FG, 45% FT, 12.3 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 1.6 APG, 0.7 SPG, 1.0 BPG, 1.4 TOPG; ADVANCED: 19.7 PER, .500 True shooting %, 3.2 block %

Player Two: 31.7 MPG, 57% FG, 72% FT, 13.2 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 1.3 APG, 0.9 SPG, 3.6 BPG, 2.4 TOPG; ADVANCED: 21.7 PER, .594 True shooting %, 10.6 block %

While I agree with your sentiment, its difficult to hype up fans with players they can't see on TV. Its just the way it is.
