Buddy wasn’t ready for the minutes he was handed. He was allowed to grow into his role. Some players were not afforded that opportunity. So why wouldn’t he do it again?

again some of you are ignoring what was being said about the offense before COVID hit the team. Did it ever occur to any of you that what they were seeing then was close to what we all saw at the end of the year?

I’d be more excited if he averaged 11 ppg but shot 40% from 3, personally.

Seriously, has anyone here watched him much? Honestly curious what aspects of his game are the strongest and how they will translate here.

Feel like he was going to the hole, and making some mid range floater type stuff against us. Is that his game? If so, can he do it consistently at this level? What are we thinking he’ll put up here, production wise, minutes wise, and %’s wise?

Jimmy is one of the best coaches ever at getting the right guys taking the right shots, IMO. Wes Johnson is a great example of a guy whose %’s were much better here. Matt Moyer’s fell off a cliff at Vandy. Nobody would know Jimmy’s strengths better and how to incorporate them here than his dad. Hope it works out.

Honestly some of the stuff he shows off in that reel is better then most of the stuff we have seen all year. Theres some nice moves offensively in there. Hope he can cover the 3 in the zone! He has good size and is older/mature. Better athlete then Buddy overall.

yes. he can do things that Kong wouldn't even attempt. I loved Kong. Jimmy will do fine by us. I hope that he isn't the only portal player for us. That is the key to our next season.

Absolutely, he’s legit. If he wasn’t coming here I think he would get some solid offers.

I’m going to enjoy throwing a 225 pound 23 year old at Duke’s 17 year old babies. That kind of thing matters.

I'm slightly shocked by this one. I thought he was Buddy's boy and it was a safe bet he would be back. I think this just shows this portal thing is going to be...CRAZY. Maybe as important as recruiting freshmen? JB might of told him he was going to be the 6th or 7th man again next year and he wants to start or maybe just wants to get closer to home? Maybe Woody stays now but I doubt it. What the heck does Griffin do? Can he transfer again without sitting out? Or is going pro or trying to go pro his only option if he leaves because he is not sitting out next year. So much talk of Jimmy B coming in I'm getting scared how slow the zone rotations will be next year.
