Boeheim's Army / TBT 2025

Another ballhandler, Frank Mason…

This is a huge pickup. Frank Mason is still VERY good.

He played in the TBT last year and averaged 18 & 5 and shot 40% from 3
In pro ball last season in Puerto Rico he averaged 15 & 4 on 62% from the field and 43% from 3

He's been there and done that. LOVE this for a "10th" man but wouldn't be surprised if he's one of the go to guys by the end of this thing

and has a few years of NBA experience as well

They are basically building the team exactly like they did the year they last won it. Smart.

I would just say now with more shooting and even more size inside.

Mason will be one of the best guards in TBT. Nice addition.
From Syracuse.com via the Lawrence Journal-World:

Belbey said in the same Syracuse.com article that “he met Mason six or seven years ago through the same person who introduced him to (former Richmond and current Boeheim’s Army guard Jacob) Gilyard.”

A source close to JHX Hoops told the Journal-World on Wednesday that Boeheim’s Army had donors with “deep pockets” who enticed Mason to join their team with a more lucrative financial offer.

Who is this?

I would assume Adam Weitsman. He is supposedly quite involved with the team - no doubt because JB and his sons are involved. There was an article earlier this year that he was the chairman of the team and would be helping the team financially.

It's Adam. Jim Boeheim said on the radio earlier this week that Adam has been supporting Boeheim's Army in helping the team land players...and he's chairman, like he was in 2021! I love this roster :)

He’s been involved several years paying players to be a part of BA. It’s not because JBs kids are on it. Wasn’t Jimmy part of it one year?

I thought he had stopped that after the unpleasantness with SU.
I am glad that was not the case.

I honestly don’t remember when and if he stoped. I thought he was one reason Kane played for us. Was his first year the year BA won it?

I think that was the year he was chairman. I don’t think he did that again until now
