Bold prediction, SU WILL WIN THE ACC TOURNAMENT

This is not a crackpot prediction. I really believe Syracuse can and will win the ACCT. How you ask? SU has played much better of late - albeit against inferior competition. The last four games don't matter much relative to the tourney except for seeding. Having comeback to earth after beating inferior opponents the Cuse will likely split the last four tough games. They will be humbled two of the last four games but the psyche of the team going into the tournament will be - "we have nothing to lose" and have the offensive talent to bring home the trophy, as good as anyone else. Don't laugh but the defense has improved and should get a little better, even without Jesse. I'm first to admit the defense has been below average. The only team Syracuse should fear is Duke, yet Duke has shown itself very vulnerable on many occasions even at Cameron and Coach K's last tourney but his team is not close to being invincible. If the shots don't fall they lost. The offense at Cuse is predictable yet fearless. My fearless prognostication is based on a timing hunch - just like the stock market (futures), and perhaps a lot of casino money. This is not pie in the sky trolling. Simply put Cuse has as good a shot as anyone to win the ACCT. I truly believe they have the best shot at 45% shot of winning the ACCT, period exclamation point. They are gearing up as a very dangerous ACCT threat. The elusive ACCT title is at hand.

Can? Of course. Will? Even the best teams often lost their conference tournaments.

Maybe playing in Brooklyn will be advantageous for once.

Need to be on the opposite side of Dukes side of the bracket and have them get upset.

Also, we haven’t won a conference tourney since 2006, I believe.

Fingers crossed, but it’ll be a big time uphill battle.

Even with a weakened ACC, I think it would be more unlikely than even the 2006 title.

Most SU teams of the past would have at least a decent shot in the 2022 ACC tourney. Only Duke is scary. But this particular team without Edwards? Hard to see that happening, IMO.

As it stands right now it would be 4 games in four days. Second game against Duke coming off the double bye. A very tough haul. Still time to move up in the rankings though and avoid Duke early. Reminds me a little of the 2009 BET where Syracuse was the 6th seed and had to get past UConn in the 6 OT game and West Virginia in OT the next night before running out of gas against 1seed Louisville in the Championship game. Not sure but I think we were up at the half against Louisville.

Actually as of today, our 2nd game would be ND (1st game vs Lville) and we wouldn’t see Duke till the championship game.

Janner vs. Manleymen - steel cage death match! ;)

If they theoretically can win the ACCT, they should be able to win the next 5 games.

I'm going to the liquor store soon and want to buy whatever you are drinking. Must be good stuff.

Yeah I think I was looking at the rankings prior to yesterdays games

If SU were to win the ACCT, absolutely Duke would have to get bounced before we would face them. From a pure match up standpoint, which is what matters most, I just don't see how we'd be able to pull it off with our immense personnel deficiencies.

If we were fortunate enough to avoid Duke, and we did win it all, it's really far more of a testament of just how incredibly bad the ACC is this year, perhaps the worst in decades. As of now, Palm only has 3 teams in the Dance, and Joey Brackets has 5. And, other than Duke, all of the other teams are along the lines of 10 type seeds, currently hanging by a thread.

I don't think cuse has won more than one game in each of the past ACC tournaments. Even if someone gets super hot there is no way they can overcome the fatigue with such a tight rotation and going 39.5mpg for 4 games in a roll.

The last time we won more than one conference tourney game was the 2013 BET -- 9 years ago. We are so overdue for a 2006-esque run.

Kind of crazy that in the past 30 seasons, we have twice as many Final Fours (4) as we do conference tourney titles (2).
