Brissett needs his own thread...

If you toss out the NC State game (and you should) Oshae has been really good over the last 4 games. The article about how he has been working hard on his inside game (read it here) sheds some light on why. I love his improving game, and kudos to him for understanding and working on his weaknesses. Go CUSE!

Still comes out to 43% from the field and 22% from 3 over those 5 games. At least he's rebounding. I thought he was a beast in attacking rebounds last year and hadn't really seen that same intensity earlier in the season.

Using him where he can have more success is key. He's not a drive and finish guy, as we've seen, unless it's a wide open lane. He's not a great outside shooter, but can hit them when open. He's not a good mid-range shooter. His best abilities seem to lie in what we saw him do last night. Find mismatches and taken advantage. If we can dump it inside to him, even if he can't beat the defender, it'll open up those around him. Whether that's a cut from Hughes or Tyus, or Buddy/Hughes hunting the perimeter for a kick out, having the ball go inside out will be a major positive for us.

Finishing some of those shots also helps! He was certainly under more control due to his footwork last night. Keep that going and he'll be a much better player.
