I wanted Carp based on the information we had on hand. However, seems like a very big time higher. In addition, it’s not Lyke. Love his involvement and understanding of NIL. It’s not Lyke, he’s young and hungry and has done great things at Toledo.

Only potential concern is the possibility of realignment in the next couple years. Carp seems like he was more connected and may have been better for that situation, but time will tell.

Interestingly, that same attitude is why it is so hard for us to compete against the SEC and B1G, and a handful of other schools, too. They look at us like you’re looking at Toledo.
I don’t mean to single you out as many others undoubtedly feel that way, myself included. I just wish we were either higher up the food chain, or the playing field was generally much more level for all concerned.
