Brycen Goodine Transferring to Providence

i think its flipping hilarious that many of the people rending their garments over these guys transferring due to lack of playing time are the same ones jonesing for an influx of immediate eligibility transfers who would eat into the minutes available for kadary, woody, braswell, edwards & jba

Yeah it’s a shame people want to actually have more talent available to the team.
Because putting all your eggs in the basket with the talent we currently have is smart.

The people who want a grad transfer want a replacement for Hughes and want a big who can actually give us depth instead of forcing Guerirer or Dolezaj to play out of position.

Yeah I know people want to actually have depth that makes It more likely we play more than just 7 players.

Playing 7 players makes sense when those are Wes Johnson, Andy Rautins, Scoop Jardine, Kris Joseph, Arinze Onuaku, Rick Jackson, Brandon Triche, CJ Fair, Tyler Ennis, Jeremy Grant types.

None of the players on this year’s team except Elijah Hughes belong playing 35+ MPG.

I wish Brycen the best, but he is flying a little too close to the sun here.

First he gave the quote about not getting a chance to play at Cuse as a reason for his transfer. It doesn't take Inspector Gadget to figure out what's behind that sentiment. JB couldn't have been too pleased when he saw that.

Then he announces his transfer destination less than one business day after announcing his intention.

My son who's a junior and just returned home a few days ago says it was common knowledge amongst his friend group (some of who play sports, some sports writer types) since DECEMBER that Goodine was a lock to transfer to Providence.
So if this was so common knowledge, the coaching staff had to be aware of it at least to some degree. Shame because he has potential. Have to wonder if there was any tampering.

You don’t think Edwards can hold down backup Center next year?

I thought Edwards played better at his position than Goodine played at his, this year.

If we didn’t get hammered to unprecedented proportions, I wouldn’t care. But we did, and ever since then I’m feeling real, real petty. Screw everybody else. I hope they all go down for any and everything.
Or maybe we should just do better. And not recruit players who can't even speak and write the language. Then wonder why they need help writing papers. But that's just me.

Lots of schools recruited Fab. He helped us go 34-3. I regret nothing. Maybe the NCAA should make it easier for foreign kids to succeed in the U.S. without criminalizing them?

Classless
You are priceless pat. Absolutely priceless.

We gave the kid almost no burn and you are going to be worried about tampering? Good Lord you are of limited capacity.

Dior knows the deal as far as how it goes at this level...Glad we’ve got a 16 year old to be the voice of reason.

Wait, am I reading into something with the last part of that - "you can't blame kids for realizing another fit could be better.." Is that foreshadowing?
