Bubble Watch - March 10

Thats why I am thinking it might be better if Uconn won it, it would get them into the top 50,and give us another top 50 win and because someone has to win that tournament anyway, it would just take a spot away from a Cincy or a Temple.

Possibly. Whatever happens, the winner of that game has to take Temple out the next day.

This guy had 68/68 teams right last year, I believe the only Bracketologist to do so...
Haha it's things like this that keep my hope alive... which will probably in turn just make it that much more crushing if we don't make it on Sunday. But, there is hope... for now!

While it may be a pure crapshoot and these guys have just been lucky, this is where the top ranked bracket guys in recent years have us,

#1 (out of 89) - 2nd last team out
#2 - 3rd last team in.
#4 - Last 4 in
#6 - Last team out
Note - #3, #5, #7, are dead links.

In terms of larger sites that have us in before today, and not some blogger chumps -- FOX, TSN, Yahoo. And no one pushed us out today, so there may be a few more tomorrow.

It sucks that I woke up after sleeping for about 90 minutess, but it was nice to see the following:

If there is one Pac12 team that is going to get hammered for them basically generating results only amongst themselves it will be Oregon St. Probably the worst P5 team ever with an RPI in the low 30's.

Our best case AAC scenario is Cincy vs. Memphis in the finals. Cincy could essentially knock out 2 bubble teams today and tomorrow with UConn and Temple (I know some people are saying a UConn win would be better for us, but you could argue a UConn win would put them ahead of us -- then if someone else wins the AAC we're in deep trouble).

No. Cinci is a stone-cold lock even with a loss to uconn. uconn is likely out with a loss to Cinci. Root for Cinci.

Now if uconn does beat Cinci, then I would agree uconn winning the AAC is the best for us. But I'm hoping it doesn't come to that.

Bilas certainly agrees. He basically called bullsh!t on how many Pac 12 teams are projected to get in the tourney. He also said that Oregon State shouldn't get in over a team like Syracuse. That was music to my ears.
