Why is Cousins a pipe dream?
It's possible, but it'll cost a ton of money for a team that doesn't have a ton of cap space.
Why is Cousins a pipe dream?
Obviously things can change between now and then, but at the moment, it sounds like Mayfield is a fringe 1st round pick. He could potentially rise up during the draft process though.
Also sounds like Darnold is leaning towards returning to school, which would suck for Buffalo. Supposedly he's the one that Buffalo is highest on, not to mention it decreases the odds of one of the top QBs sliding to Buffalo.
So if the QB they want isn't there this year, do you use all the picks that you have this year, or do you trade some away to try to build more draft capital for next year?
What do you mean? I'm sure either of those guys can hand off to Tolbert for a power run behind Ducasse. If there's a QB that they believe is a franchise guy in the draft, they should be willing to trade up to get them IMO. Teams with far less assets have made similar trades to move up and get their guy.
My personal opinion is that Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen are better prospects than Josh Rosen though, who seems like the favorite to be the 1st QB taken. If they can get one of those two, or even Mayfield, without moving up, I'd be very happy.
I also don't have any faith that Rick Dennison would know how to utilize Mayfield or Lamar though.
It was actually a visually stunning game. They did a great job.
The red unis were a good choice.

The only two qb's that I find intriguing in this years draft are Jackson and Mayfield. I think Darnold is overrated because he's at USC and Rosen gets hurt all the time
Miami had the blueprint to beat NE.Miami beating NE.. thoughts?
-Miami sweep won't be as easy as I thought. Very glad we have them at home this week.
-Now have faith Miami can beat KC in their next game.
-NE looked beatable, albeit without Gronk. I mean at some point we have to be able to beat them, no?
Miami had the blueprint to beat NE.
Take the underneath on offense as NE gives you that as they don’t want chunk plays and they want you beat yourself offensively.
Miami took the stuff NE gave and really had the ability to make one chunk play at the end if receiver didn’t drop it.
Defensively their DL dominated and took the running game from the Patriots and their 4 man rush got pressure all day and they played a diamond in the middle which forced Brady to throw deep to the sidelines and their DBs were good.
If you can get pressure with 4 and with no Gronk in the middle you can flood it then you can destroy a suspect NE OL.
You guys should win this week though as NE really was thin on the DL this week and Buffalo will get more pressure. I doubt Cutler can be that patient 2 weeks in a row but playing at Miami is always hard.
Miami whooped the Patriots because of their DL dominating.

Well I am normally anti recency bias guy but they were legitimately in the conversation as the worst team in football thru 11 games and now they've played two great games in a row. I'm not sure what they've changed but that's probably not a coincidence. We're still a solid favorite at home but it's no longer a gimme [I know, no Bills game ever is] and I don't love our chances down there though obv. we'll take our chances there if it's a de facto playoff game.

So who do you like?I made a post over at BuffaloRumblings breaking down some of the numbers for the 1st round QB Prospects:
More NCAA QB Charts
So who do you like?
I literally like all of them except for Rudolph. Before really playing around with these numbers, I had them ranked:
1. Sam Darnold
2. Lamar Jackson
3. Josh Allen
4. Baker Mayfield
5. Josh Rosen
After all of this, I think I'd move Lamar up to my #1 spot; I just think he's incredibly underrated as a passer (ex: Todd McShay is quoted saying it would be irresponsible for any team to draft him in the first 3 rounds unless they want him as a WR) while also being the best running QB we've seen since Michael Vick, if not better.
I still like Darnold, but his numbers really surprised me. I knew he struggled with his deep ball this season, but I expected him to fare much better than he did. I still like Allen; I knew the numbers would hate him and his bust rate is probably very high, but his potential is just out of this world. Mayfield is a really gifted passer while also playing in a great college system. Rosen looks a bit better than I expected; people knock him (myself included) for really struggling dealing with pressure, and he has struggled to an extent (see his passer rating when under pressure), but his adjusted completion percentage when dealing with pressure is definitely better than I expected it to be.
I think flipping Lamar and Darnold is the only change I'd make despite some of that flying in the face of the charts. If you don't have much of an appetite for risk, I'd personally go with Lamar or Mayfield. I just think Lamar is so gifted as a runner while also being adequate as a passer, that most OCs will be able to find a way to make it work with him. Mayfield throws with tremendous accuracy; as long as you can create a system that gives him lanes to see around the O-Line, I think he's going to be a starting QB for a long time.
Nice. One question about Lamar (it's an actual question as IDK) is whether he is able to avoid hits / strong hits, when he takes off. Some guys seem to have the ability to avoid the dangerous hit.I literally like all of them except for Rudolph. Before really playing around with these numbers, I had them ranked:
