Duck was never going to beat this defense. That was the plan.
It was pretty damn close, though.

That Singletary fumble cost us some breathing room.It was pretty damn close, though.
2 playoff appearances in 3 years for Sean McD. He drives me crazy at times but I'll give him credit.
He’s learning on the job.I hear you - the ultra-conservatism is really frustrating, but you can tell that his guys love him and will run through walls for him, and more importantly, for each other. The phrase is overused, but he's definitely a strong "leader of men".
Not gonna be able to get to sleep for a little bit, so figured it was appropriate to crack this open for a celebratory drink.

That drive for the last td was balls out. Total opposite from the fg drove. Gotta imagine McD gave Daboll an earful. Or going for it on 4th and 5 from the 35...
He plays the odds a bit too much when he is ahead but other than that I think he is great.
btw I am going to barf if they show another clip of the Steelers being about community... their qb of the last decade is a rapist.
They didn't even do anything that conservative. On two drives with the lead at the end, they tried to throw on 3rd&10 on the 1st. I'd have been fine with an early down throw too but it's not like Singletary wasn't having a decent game. The 2nd was a mandatory 3run spot. God forbid nbc show a replay of the hold when they replay everything else under the sun. At least they didn't take Collinsworth's advice and run a draw on 3rd&goal with 7 minutes left. Seriously Chris? The 4th down on the 1st TD drive was great too, that won the game but the Esiason kicking crowd always ignores those details.
Running Gore on 1st and 2nd and goal following the 2nd White INT, end of the first half, the 2nd to last offensive possession.
Show him the money Brandon.
To be fair, unless I have the plays mixed up, the 2nd Gore run was actually a trick play: a HB pass, but either the WR didn't get open or Gore just wasn't able to get the throw off.
I was thinking the same thing and that he was just too short. Would have had to be a blind throw. To be fair, unless I have the plays mixed up, the 2nd Gore run was actually a trick play: a HB pass, but either the WR didn't get open or Gore just wasn't able to get the throw off.
