Buffalo Bills 2019

All in favor of giving Duke a shot.

Also, 3 free points to NE, courtesy of the stripes:

This is like putting your leg on the rope while being pinned in WWF .. the count stops .. the ball is incomplete

I was on the west coast for a wedding, only got to listen to the game and just got home so don't mind my Tuesday negativity if you guys have already been able to process through yours and have moved on ;)
I don’t think any of us have moved on - that’s the problem. Lol

I think what we are finding out about Allen is that everything we love about him (his arm, his legs, his will to win, his passion for this team and this town) are the same things that can be his kryptonite.

His arm makes him think he can do the impossible, his legs put him into dangerous territory, his will to win doesn’t allow him to easily give up on plays, and his passion for this team and this town appears to have placed a large weight on his shoulders that he takes seriously.

It won’t be overnight, maybe not even next year but the game will slow down for him and he will become a great QB. For now we just need to enjoy the ride because with this defense, even if he is not this elite efficient quarterback right away, he will find ways to make winning plays.

Yeah, read it on Twitter earlier today, and he's on 550 talking about it now. It's heart-wrenching to listen to him right now. Can't imagine what he's going through.
As a new father I simply cannot imagine what he and his wife must be going through. Just awful.

Thread over on TBD theorizing that JA may have been concussed early on in the game.

He took a big hit on the early fumble play where his neck got whipped and apparently Allen is seen trying to “shake the cobwebs” multiple times afterwards.

I sure hope he figures it out because he would make the same dumb plays at Wyoming too. I have 0 knowledge of his aptitude but just hope he can figure it out because it's going to be miserable if we end up wasting 3 or 4 years of elite defense without winning any playoff games because he can't stop handing the other team points. I honestly think Barkley might be a better play this week against a team like the Titans. Seems like the kind of game where we just need someone to manage the game and get to 17 points one way or another. If we don't give them short fields or hand them points than they aren't scoring more than 17 on their own against this defense. Ceiling is significantly lowered with Barkley but the floor is probably high enough to win comfortably as long as he plays anywhere close to how he did last year against the Jets.

Sounds about as good as we can hope for with Allen seeming to be in Stage 4 already.

Yeah, I think he sits Saturday back for Miami. A game off, a bye followed by Miami may be best thing. He will need to play much better to beat Philly. We all know he was horrible Sunday but he needs to get better for the Bills to continue to improve, the team as a whole will only go as far as Josh does and I am not going to start losing faith... YET. I still think he's going to be really good.

Allen is in the final phase of concussion protocol very quickly. Do they have conclusive means to determine a concussion occurred or is any blow to the head deemed concussive to one degree or another?

Stefon Diggs spotted in Buffalo.
Conor McDermott released, opening a roster spot.
Duke Williams has started practicing with special teams this week
Thinking Diggs or Duke may soon be on the roster

I think the Diggs rumor was false, if we’re talking about the Duffs receipt from last night? Or was there something else?

He certainly could get traded, and I’d think we’d be interested. He did start following 3 Bills players today.

Yes, there are tests, and grades. My son had one in 7th grade. They told he would be better in 2 weeks, and it took 2 weeks.

Big one today boys. Would love to see the Bills be 4-1 heading into a bye week. Gonna be interested to see what Allen brings today and what factor Duke Williams brings if any. Sounds like they will have twenty thousand Bills fans to root them on. Let’s go Buffalo!

Williams is active.

Singletary and Nsekhe are inactive, however

Not surprised about Singletary. THey seemed to be leaning to resting him this week and so he could have another 2 full weeks to get back to 100% after the bye

Would love to have Singletary out there but with the weather conditions, probably smart to hold him out and get him back to 100% after the bye week.

No Nsehke so hopefully Ford steps up his game. If we go run heavy, he’s certainly a mauler. Going to need to give him help in pass pro.
