Buffalo Bills 2019

Right there with you. Really hope they pull it together against Tennessee. I am still p!ssed off even though I don’t want to be...
I told myself I wouldn’t. And it happened because the game was like the worst thing possible outside of us blowing some big lead.

I usually listen to bills radio Monday’s and couldn’t today. For those who like buffalo, some great commentary (tasker, sal capacio (speller wrong) )

Literally could not have scripted it any worse.

I did the same. No WGR for me today.

I’m sure Schopp was insufferable today.

I didn’t watch any of the 4 pm games. No SNF, and I’m not watching this Bengals/Steelers game.

Just completely checked out.

The officiating.
The intentional knockout of our QB.
The constant Patriots bs.
The self inflicted wounds ALL game.
Yeldon TD drop/Brown one yard short.
Backup QB probably starting our next game.

Just annoyed, disgusted and angry at that entire game. Everything about it.

How do we feel about Barkley on Sunday?

Sounds like that’s the way it’s trending.
I feel good about him. But he needs a clean pocket to be successful.

But the way Daboll seems to want to attack with short and intermediate passing... I think he’ll be a good straw to stir the drink.

Will we pull Davis Webb up to the active roster (which I think we sort of have to?) If so, who gets cut?

Read the Syracusefan.com NFL Thread if you really want to put the b.s. cherry on top.

See that is my issue. Not that Buffalo lost. It’s HOW they lost. In no particular order, an airing of grievances:

1) Our punter not only has one punt blocked for a TD, he responds to average 26 yards a punt. Twenty six yards!?!! We can’t find anyone who can average at least that?

2) Allen’s three picks...yikes. But the sack at the end of the half that makes it a tougher kick (missed) was at least as big of a mistake. Seriously, the kid has got to make better decisions.

3) There is one set of rules for Pats and another for everyone else. See the ejection that wasn’t and Brady not even sniffing intentional grounding. Don’t @ me.

4) Meanwhile our OL just got flagged for another holding penalty as I write this.

5) Despite all that, our defense channels the 2000 Ravens D and dominates the game...only to be wasted.

Check that, I feel better already! On to Tennessee.

Gonna be tough to give him a clean pocket the way our tackles are playing.

Our interior line is very good but Dawkins and the RT brigade need to step up.

I agree. Dawkins has been disappointing - expected him to take a big step forward this season.

The line has been a problem for sure. Allen was rattled yesterday though. Nerves got to him in the first half. Hopefully these are all just lessons that he can grow from.

For sure.. Some of the OL issues might be absolved with a vet QB that just gets the ball out. Allen was absolutely bizarro world with his obsession in forcing the ball deep when NE absolutely wasn’t going to let him do that.

It was terrible. From the stands there were two plays where dumping it to the back would have gotten us 20+ yards and instead he forced it and cost us.

One to Gore where the linebacker even fell down and another to DiMarco.

One thing that stands out about this offense though. Not enough playmakers on the field at times. Gore and DiMarco split out on the same side of the field? No thanks.

I understand we want to be multiple but I’d like 5 wide sets that actually have 5 WRs.

Hopefully Kroft and Singletary make us more complete.

Gore is a great runner, good at pass pro and can catch dumpoffs but that’s his lane, split out wide...not so much. Singletary is dynamic. Knox/Kroft can give us 2-TE sets that don’t always involve Lee Smith - both can block and are legitimate in the passing game. That provides some help to Brown/Beasley.

Wow, really? Ugh.
Yeah, read it on Twitter earlier today, and he's on 550 talking about it now. It's heart-wrenching to listen to him right now. Can't imagine what he's going through.

So sad to hear that Jeremy White and his wife lost their quadruplets this past weekend.

Awful.
Yeah I just caught the tail end of him talking just now.

When he was out unexpectedly last week I did have the thought cross my mind.

Poor ppl are going to have a long road to hoe to heal emotionally. God bless them.

Yeah, had a not so good feeling when he was off the air last week without explanation.

The thing that I still can't get over with Allen is that I believe that all 3 picks occurred on 1st down. If he continues to be a turnover machine there are going to be some internal issues between the defense and offense. Everything in his Wyoming history pointed towards him being a horrible decision maker and year 1 certainly continued that. I was hoping year 2 would see some improvement but there is almost none that I can tell. He still just throws it up for grabs, will still throw across his body into the middle of the field. There is obvious signs of growth with the comp% going up to an acceptable level but he alone has more turnovers than any other team has. Think I moved from the give him to time to gain experience side, to the I'm skeptical side on if he'll ever be good enough mentally. Physically he's in the top 1% of QBs in the history of the NFL I'd guess. But if you can't even be average mentally than that doesn't do much other than give us a crap ton of hope every 3 or 4 weeks when he's able to put one together.

I don't know why this wasn't pointed out at all on the broadcast, as my friend and I were yelling about it at the bar. You either have to have a play there to get the un-covered gunner the ball or you have to bring him in to max protect. Can't do what we did, which is let a guy in un-touched to block the punt. Awful special teams play.

Well CBS had to keep their perfect record of never adding anything useful to a broadcast, ever. In non Romo games anyway.

Seems like BB owned McDermott on that one. Inexcusable.

What's weird is the Giants showed that look earlier in the year, and the Bills called the gunners in to go max protect.

No idea why they didn't do the same thing on Sunday.

Was just looking at league-wide punting stats. They are worse that I imagined. I knew he was bad, but I didn't expect him to be dead last in the league.

I was on the west coast for a wedding, only got to listen to the game and just got home so don't mind my Tuesday negativity if you guys have already been able to process through yours and have moved on ;)
