Buffalo Bills 2022 Thread

the KC game is essentially 1.5 games. I don't care how they look now, but come end of the year, it will be the Bills and KC at the top of the ladder vying for the AFC number 1 spot. So whoever wins that game has a huge advantage.

Yeah would be nice to be at home through the playoffs and I think anything less would be disappointing but the way these injuries are going, I just don't know. Hopefully Poyer and Oliver back this week

You're talking one game. Im talking many game. we have major issues with short yardage run plays (not including Allen) and have had this for a few years. Any team can have an issue once in a while. It might be a first world problem since we often play "canadian football" and don't even require a third down, but this crap will bite us in the playoffs if we don't get it corrected. Josh Allen is bad at sneaks by the way. Its not always an advantage being a huge guy trying to sneak the ball from a stand still position. Zero leverage. You're better off with a midget running a sneak.

It happens to other teams more often than you think. I don't disagree the Bills can get better at it.

I mean a QB sneak seems logical with a 240 pound QB but the snap, footing etc seem to be an issue but sill probably going to work 4 out of 5 times and probably not going to get Josh killed compared to some hits he's taken already this year

I loved watching the Dorsey presser yesterday. I am sure McDermott gave him a firm lecture but he really is a bit crazy. He has a little Jim Harbaugh in him but he's out there for sure. Smart dude for sure, wonder if he might be a good for for college game as a HC someday

Is this a function of the playcalling or the way that the defenses are playing us? I got the sense that it's been the latter.
I think that the game plan against Miami was to grind clock with long drives, to keep the decimated defense off of the field.

That plus, remember all the chatter about 3rd Qtr woes last yr which to me was obvious happenstance; now we have the opposite because 4qtrs of domination is hard. Turnovers are why two of the games have been tied at half.

I do not have a great feeling again this week. How are we such a favorite with all of these injuries i don't get. Who is starting opposite Elam if Rhodes doesn't go, a UB kid? Dawkins isn't friggin practicing now? Of all the seasons for this crap. Oh and it's going to rain obv. Choke on a **** football Gods you suck.

Dane was back at practice today and Dawkins missed cause of an illness (not Covid)

It'll be ok.

Dane will be back as noted below along with several other guys. Ed was dancing at practic today so he will be back as well and it appears Poyer will be back as well. Only one that appears out for sure is Phillips and obviously the rookie corner who had surgery.

I actually think it's more of the former. There was a different tweet in Sharp's thread that showed that teams are not playing 2 Deep safeties as much against the Bills anymore.

But it's important to consider that Davis didn't play the Titans game too, so maybe Dorsey doesn't want to take as many deep shots with the limited WR group.

Yup, Buffalo hasn't taken a lot of deep shots this year, I think really 1 or 2 total so far. Davis being hurt I think is the main culprit but again as we have all noted Buffalo also doesn't really have a true speed deep threat either. I suspect they will look to open it up more with Davis hopefully more recovered from the ankle injury and most teams not able to rush the passer like Miami was last week.

Idk it just seems like Miami was playing that bend don’t break defense aiming to not let us take the top off. Even if it wasn’t a true cover 2. Idk though, I obviously haven’t watched the All 22.

They blitzed a lot in the 1st half but then laid back into a cover 2 a lot in the 2nd half. However they were still able to get some pressure rushing 4 which got Josh to get rid of the ball fairly quick.

It's going to be wet in Baltimore today. It's not a driving rain. It's just nonstop drizzle. There's no wind.

The Ravens have zero pass rush so I would have made the Bills a heavy favorite. When everything is wet and slippery crazy things can happen.

Tough game today.

Bills win 35-24 or Baltimore wins 28-27.
